Great food! Awesome weekday deals! Service is fantastic! Nice little local Mexican joint! It’s our new favorite place near our home. Love that they have a small self-service salsa bar with red/green salsa, lemons and other condiments! We come once a week! Well worth it!

$11 for a burrito this size is a GOOD deal, but sadly it lacked SO much flavor. I really wanted to like it. I thought I’d finally found a well-portioned, affordable hole-in-the-wall spot. But the chicken burrito had no flavor at all, even with the sauce. The salsas were very watered down, which made it even more disappointing.

Is it me, or am I asking too much for a little bit more of onion and cilantro on the tacos I order “to go”?, It looks like it was sprinkle over the tacos, and the “pastor” or should I say adobada tacos that taste and smell like chorizo, Disappointed again.

The food, the ambiance, and the workers was great. They have deals all throughout the week too. I went in with a group of 7 and the food came out quick. 10/10 recommend. 🙂

My wife loves this place for their their crunchy shredded chicken or shredded beef tacos. Had to try them. I would say they were worth getting again.

A consistent Mexican food spot. I haven’t had bad food nor bad service. Covid has changed a lot but all in this place will not disappoint. The daily specials are good. The burritos are good. The combos and Jamaica can’t be beat. I like the carnitas burrito myself. Try it out for yourself, it will not disappoint.

This is a fantastic local place, that given the name it really does justice of representing the city’s culinary heritage. I’ve been coming to this place for years and I’m not planning on stopping anytime soon.
The irrelevant issue I have with this place os that its always packed, generally a small wait of like 10 min to order food but once you get your food its totally worth it.
During the weekdays they have specials that are really a bargain. And regular menu is quite extensive so you can always find something to eat.
It has been remodeled recently so if you haven’t been here in a while… come check it out

Picked up a 2 enchilada plate with added chicken, came with rice and beans. Altogether was a perfect portion size so I was full without feeling ready for food coma. All cooked to perfection. I hold back some of the enchilada sauce to mix with the rice, but isn’t necessary to do. No reason not to come back and plenty of reasons on the menu to do so, and prices are decent, actually less than most fast food combo meals!

First time here, and it was decent. Coming from San Diego, we’re used to really authentic Mexican food. There’s a taqueria on nearly every corner, so a lot of competition there, and nearly all have true “Baja style” burritos – meat, guac, salsa, and cilantro. That’s it. Taquerias compete mainly on the taste of their meats.

Here, I was disappointed to see the cheap fillers. My carne asada burrito was almost half rice. The meat was tender, but not terribly flavorable

Also grabbed a fish taco, and it was “odd?” For some reason, someone decided to chop the breaded fish fillet intro bite-sized pieces, which ruined the “crunchiness.” It was also covered in cheddar cheese? (Pro tip: cheddar is a British cheese, and tastes nothing like authentic Mexican cheeses). And they used lettuce instead of the traditional cabbage.

Overall, not horrible, but no real motivation to go back.
