Went to Tacos El Viejon for lunch with a friend and had a pretty good time. We ordered tacos and nachos and both were tasty. The food came out hot and didn’t take too long. Service was friendly even if a little laid-back. Overall, it’s a solid spot for a casual lunch.

6 pastor tacos for $18. They are phenomenal. Their hot and verde sauces are great. The 6 tacos came with an ampliunt of celantro, onions, grilled onions, a grilled jalapeño, radishes and limes. I will be back weekly. Service was wonderful, as well.

Excellent food and the cooks are very friendly and accommodating. The girl who takes your order is not the friendliest . It is located right on the street and you cannot hear them and they cannot hear you do to the traffic. Sometimes there is a place to sit sometimes there is not. And by sitting, I mean one folding plastic banquet table. It is better than nothing When they have it.
They do not post prices anywhere and there is a 4% surcharge for using a credit card. Hours are very inconsistent. It is hit or miss when they will close in the evening. Some of this sounds less than positive, but it is very good food and that’s what you’re going for.

Blazing fast service.
Tacos were FILLED with chicken absolutely delicious.
Received toppings separate from the tacos so I could apply them myself, separated hot stuff from cold!
Caramelized onions, and a grilled pepper in one bundle, tacos in their own bundle, fresh diced onions w/ cilantro and lime wedges in the other bundle.
100% Highly recommend
Also fanciest food truck I’ve ever seen. Never been to a food truck that had a table or chairs WITH a SHADE TENT!
Lights strung on the tent, napkin thingie on the table, bottle of hand sanitizer at the pickup window.
Better than 5☆ but I can’t rate it any higher..

Would definitely have given this establishment five stars IF the guy taking our order would have cracked even half a smile. (NKC location) Zero stars for friendly service. On the bright side, the food was FANTASTIC!

I ordered three tacos al pastor and they were tender and juicy. Freaking delicious. I do wish the salsa was spicier, but this is the best pastor I’ve had in KC.

I’m sure your food is delicious and would love to be able to give you 5 stars, but I didn’t get anything because you have no menus, so I have no idea. No menus? The girl taking orders said they’re in the window, but it’s only pictures. So I asked her if you had anything with prices of the options, and apparently you don’t. Not sure how that works.

I went to the north one and they had no menus , the girl taking the other seem like she didn’t want to work and the table were dirty!!! I just ordered the birria tacos they were okay. I’ve had better in my opinion
