Small hole in the wall feel, but with generous portions, excellent price, and really REALLY great flavors! Outstanding customer service, Memo is a great cook and brings joy to the culinary art. Great vibes. Definitely coming back!!

Small restaurant chain place was empty when we came in. Our orders were taken quick and was made by the chef fast. We ordered menudo, asada burrito and I got three tacos, pollo, asada and al carbon. Our orders came fast with a bunch of extra sides that you normally have to ask for such as extra lime, radish, sauces. The burrito had a lot more of white rice that I wondered and should have been Spanish rice? Tacos were satisfying but not the best as they seem to be oily and same as the asada burrito, the flour wrap was drenched in oil. All in all we got what we wanted and shy of spending more than $40 – oh well that’s how high restaurant food is currently.

The green sauce is spicy ! Good kick
Ordered the vegetable burrito (no cheese/sour cream but is cooked in lard) and carne asada fries. The fries were huge ! Very deep fried (had a good crunch)
The tortilla on the burrito also seemed a slightly fried (as opposed to just toasted) which was yummy

First time going here and the tacos did not disappoint! Definitely worth checking out. I will be coming back I can’t remember the name of one of the bigger tacos but I did post a photo here (the one with guacamole on the side)it’s really filling and very good as well.

First thing I notice about El Sauz JR is the service. A++ for that. Ordered online, but the cool wanted to wait for me to get there so that I would be able to take the food home freshly made.
Second thing I noticed was the cleanliness of the place and how organized everything seemed to be.
Lastly was the food. When i got home, the food was nice and warm. I ordered a carne asada taco ($2.30) fish taco ($2.30), and shrimp taco ($2.30), a chicken quesadilla ($9.09), carne asada burrito ($11.85), carne asada torta ($9.75) and side of fries ($2.99). Carne asada was a bit dry, chicken was a bit dry. Fish was moist and had good flavor. Salsa’s were excellent and there’s plenty of food for the price!
I’ll have to try them out again since El Sauz is down the street. I’m hoping this is a one off in the cooking department.
Parking is sufficient but it’s shared with with other business’ in a strip mall.

Health food services should go. The big guy in back doesn’t even use gloves when he’s making tacos and just wipes his hands-on his apron. Food trucks have better procedures than that place.It’s disgusting

Good food, they have taco Tuesday specials on most of the street tacos there which bring the price down to less than $2 per taco (and they are generous!).
