Beat tortas de cabeza. One of very few places that makes cochinita pibil. They have extra spicy habanero salsa if you ask.

I stopped coming here frequently because this place is cash only now. I only visit occasionally and like always, their birria is still 10/10.

Try the Taco Dorado de Birria, they’re really really good. They’ll happily add cheese to your taco if you ask. I prefer without.k

I always ask for sauce on the side because I like to control the spiciness myself. The salsa here isn’t burning hot, but it is a good strong medium. Flavor of the salsa is 4/5. Not as good as El Roy’s legendary salsa, but at least it complements the Birria nicely.

The tortilla here is perfect! 5/5. Protip: Your tortilla might fall apart if you order Birria. Ask for your birria taco fried, aka “dorado” to make it crispy. Fried tacos can be dipped in “Consome” aka Birria broth for extra deliciousness.

The meats are always properly seasoned and perfectly cooked. They have good recipes here. 5/5

Temperature: tacos are never cold here! Always piping hot. 5/5

Staff is always happy and friendly. 5/5

My favorite part is that this taco truck is open early. On Saturdays, they’re open at 5am! Not very many places to get good flood are open at that hour.

I’d visit more often if they weren’t cash only.

1st time trying this truck. And will say the carne asada tacos i got were very good. Had a kick of spicy heat that was nice not overpowering. 4 tacos $16. Overall pretty good deal compared to other taco trucks.

Easily the best Cochinita Pibil I have had in this area. The heat is just right – strong but not overwhelming. The Poc Chuc was flavorful and combined beautifully with cabbage and radish on the tacos.

my step son and I have set out on a mission to try all the taco trucks on Sebastopol Rd. This evening we chose tacos El pelon and let me tell you this trucks service is outstanding. Senor pelon let us sample a bunch of tacos free of charge. The tacos are amazing. The customer service is better than any restaurant I’ve been to in Santa Rosa. I will definitely be coming back. I wasn’t able to leave a tip and I feel horrible about it.

I was an executive chef for years, and an afficianado of mexican food in general. I’ve sampled untold taqueria trucks over the years, but this one is pretty special. They’re serving up a pretty limited menu, (no enchiladas, sopes, various platillos, etc). It’s a taco truck. But what sets them apart is their expertise and consistency, and especially that they’re offering the very best meats and salsas. They have a superb al pastor, flavorful and juicy, and a good birria if you are there in time. But my favorite is their cochinita pibil, the wonderful marinated pork dish from the Yucatan. So good, and that good every time. Honestly, if you like tacos, you HAVE to try it.

Cochinita Pribil, a nicely spiced, roasted pork is so lusciously tender in Torta sandwiches that came with housemade pickled onions, and whatever you like fixings. I had a Quesadilla with the Cabeza or stewed pork cheeks that’s meaty and rich, with condiments (salsa, pickled onions, and lettuce/cilantro mix) inside. Yummy
