Tucked into the vibrant heartbeat of the Las Vegas Strip, Tacos El Pastor has been serving up bold, authentic Mexican street food since 2019. What began as a local gem has quickly become a culinary landmark for both visitors and locals seeking an unforgettable taco experience. Alongside its signature pastor, featuring marinated pork shaved into fresh handmade tortillas and topped with roasted pineapple, the menu also showcases juicy, flame-grilled asada tacos—tender cuts of beef infused with smoky depth, topped with onions, cilantro, and zesty salsa. Every bite bursts with heart, history, and flavor.

Tucked into the vibrant heartbeat of the Las Vegas Strip, it’s a local gem serving authentic Mexican street food to locals and tourists.
The restaurant is clean and decent size, they have a nice big outdoor patio facing the Strip.
The overall experience is straight forward, you come in and choose a line to stand in with the flavour taco you want and when you get your food then you pay at the cashier station.
These tacos were amazing and flavourful. Tortillas are fresh made and very delicious.
Tacos are very filling too .

Definitely worth the visit. We highly recommend it!
You have to be in line for what you want. So if you want pork and asada, you must go in the line for each one separate (ig English speaking). If you are Spanish speaking, the rules dont Apply to you
At the cash Register, they will upcharge you for using a credit card. When I asked where the sign was that there is an upcharge (“convenience fee” on the receipt) there was a lapse in English speaking by the girl tending the cash register and I got no answer until I saw my bill go up over $1.
It was raining. Outside earlier in the day so the outside seats were wet and no one there did anything to try to dry them off. The place was packed inside and nowhere to sit other than outside.
There is cross contaminated food here too. So if you want pork, it appears to me it is cooked and prepared in the same places the tripe guts and organs are cooked and chopped on. So if you don’t want to eat cow guts, don’t eat pork here.
On the plus side, the tortillas are hand made so that was good.
Parking is free but you might need “a can opener” to get (practically peel”) your car out because it is very tight and limited spacing
Overall…this is the third taco stand I’ve been to in Vegas. I would most likely return to the other two before returning here as I didn’t have the obvious Spanish speaking privilege here.
The restaurant is clean and well organized, and you can see into the kitchen where everything is being prepared, which adds to the experience and shows the care they put into their food. There’s also plenty of parking, which makes it convenient.
It’s located about 10 minutes off the Strip, but absolutely worth the short drive. If you’re craving real Mexican flavors, this place delivers.
