This little El Mercadito I have been coming to years. I buy tamales every Christmas some of the best in the city. Their salsa is fire (yes I mean hot) but great. All their other food is great and everyone that works there is so friendly. I don’t speak much Spanish but they generally have one or two people that work there that do. Don’t let the little hole in the wall place fool you. It is fantastic. You can also buy other market items as well. Today the special was a Sopa De Camerones Thad looked amazing. Standing room only. Not a a lot of seating about 24 or so seats.

Tacos El Mercadito may not look like much from the outside, but the food is absolutely amazing and the wait is very minimal. We waited less than 10 minutes for two large orders. There is limited seating inside but you can also take your food to go! The tacos are $2, a tamale is $2.50, and a side of rice or a side of beans is also $2. I ordered 2 tacos, a tamale, chips & salsa, and a side of rice for under $14 with a tip. Highly recommend trying the pork tamale! You can also purchase Mexican ingredients and groceries at this restaurant/shop.

Great food. Awesome prices. The service is great. The street tacos were tasty. The el pastor has tons of flavor. The steak and chicken were so good. I also had a gordita. Very good. This store is also a market. Come in and seat yourself.

In this restaurant I got good experience, I really love it. I can order fresh tamales made at this moment, chicken, or pork. We found beef soup with tortilla homemade. I recommend to visit that original Mexican ranch restaurant.

So yummy! I ordered 2 different gorditas and a torta and they were so fresh and delicious. A student told me about it, and it was a great tip! It’s a small cafe style place and you can buy some groceries, too. My parents enjoyed every bite. Warning- the dark red sauce is Hot!!

Their accents was heavy , so you already the food was gonna be Bomb . Ordered the carna asada and costillas de res en salsa, and they were super good home-made dishes. Tortillas were freshly cooked, and the sauces on the side were not too spicy, so I could actually enjoy them flavors. Over all a 9 out of 10 for an authentic Guerrero Mexican foreign very criollo high-end restaurant.
Their coffee was excelente, and the owner introduced it as Coffe made in Guerrero, Mexico.
La comida espectacular y bien criolla.
Muy buen café.

You can’t go wrong with authentic tacos al pastor! I also tried the sopes (al pastor of course!) and wasn’t disappointed. Service was friendly, salsa was spicy, food was overall delicious; what more can you ask for in a taco restaurant?
