I don’t think I’ve ever recommended a single place to eat more than Tacos El Mariachi Loco. I’ve tried all of the other popular Mexican restaurants in Ann Arbor/Ypsi– nothing has ever been better than tacos el mariachi loco!
Pros: the workers are always friendly and the food is phenomenal!
Cons: because they’re a food truck, they can be difficult to track down if you’re not active on their Facebook (but still definitely worth it)
My recs: everything is good but I really like the fish tacos, the mushroom taco is also delicious for all the vegetarians!

Gayud dayum they made some good tacos. Most authentic Mexican I’ve had in Michigan. One note though, we had a language barrier issue and my wife got cilantro when we asked for none. They still get 5 stars though because 1.) we get it, that’s tough and 2.) gayud dayum they made some good tacos

For the first time last month I had a more blah/so-so experience with regard to the quality of the food. It just wasn’t as good of quality of meat in the burrito as I had had there before. Nothing terrible or unacceptable- and I’m hoping it’s a one time deal-but it simply didn’t match the exceptional tastiness (5/5) of my previous food here. As some other reviewers have mentioned in the warmer months when they are working out of the truck, it can be impossible to find them or track them down even when checking their Facebook page or calling them directly to check their location and hours. this has resulted in me placing several past Grub h*b orders that I have had to cancel due to non-fulfillment. In the colder months, they are inside of the wide world of sports building -and it is still fairly difficult to check that they’re open and what hours they have on a given day.

Absolutely BEST Tacos in town! Actually, my son who lived in Mexico about 10 years ago said that they are the best tacos he has had since coming back and they taste exactly like good street tacos that he would eat there.
I had the truck come to a party I gave and it was so perfect! Everyone couldn’t say enough about the taste, the options, the friendly staff, and definitely also the churros!! So fun to have the truck pull up in front of our house and start serving! Highly recommend!

Got a vegan burrito last night at Homes Brewery. I think it was the best vegan burrito I’ve ever had, so flavorful. It was just beans, rice, mushrooms and vegetables but it was perfectly spiced and packed with flavor. Only way I think it could have been better is if it had guac or avocado, but to he honest it didn’t really need it. Can’t wait for another…

Best campechano burrito. Give them grace as they travel on different days. I ordered from them right as they were leaving the farmers market and met them at the indoor soccer place in AA. They were very nice and our order was spot on. The campechano meat was so juicy and flavorful. The burrito was massive! We also got tacos which were equally delicious. The green salsa pairs great! Will definitely order again.

What a find! I was at the Ice Cube for a hockey game, and I noticed the taco stand across the street, so I checked it out. Excellent street tacos. I had one steak taco, which was tender with no gristle, and one roasted pork taco, which had a crispy-ness reminiscent of the carnitas at Evie’s Tamales in Detroit (my favorite). The tacos were filled with meat, and the hot sauce (on the side) added just enough zing. Great little place! I’ll be back.

This is an absolute hidden gem in Ann Arbor. I have worked at the Ann Arbor Ice Cube (across the street) for 4 years and I had never visited this food truck. The menu offers a wide variety at very reasonable prices. The food itself was 100% authentic. The fish tacos are hands down the best item on the menu and should not be overlooked when visiting this food truck!
