A weekly dinner spot for my hubs and I to get some alone time! We call in our order ahead of time, when we arrive we pay, then we have a seat & our order arrives just in time. The service and crew are great! The seating area is clean with private booth seats or tables. The hosts are constantly cleaning tables/ salsa bar, and sweeping. The food is great. I always get my favs /chicken taquito plate and the hubs tries something new everytime. We have even called our order in and picked up for a cozy night in. Stop in if your looking for fresh Mexican food..you wont be disappointed.

We Ordered a Quesabirria Torta, Chilaquiles with eggs, and Chile relleno… Folks let me tell you something, if you’re hungry in Heber, you need not look further than this place. The Food was fantastic and the array of bottled and fresh sauces in their pristine dining room, pickled peppers and onions topped everything!! Highly recommend

Okay, I might be generous here with 4 stars. We’ve been coming to El Guero since 2019, or whenever they opened their first location in what is now twisted sugar. Their food was spectacular. I speak only from my experience of having lived in northern and southern California, worked landscaping and manufacturing where we had our fair share of legit good Mexican food. Their first few years were THAT. They crushed it.
But here we are, they’ve expanded, multiple locations, their mango salsa is still perfect, but things seem to be falling apart.
It wasn’t a terribly busy night. The table next to us had four diners and their food came out one person carrying one plate at a time over the course of five minutes. The grandma at the table was polite so by the time everyone else’s food came out her’s had to be cold.
Our two plates of tacos came out within a minute if each other, but since we only ordered a total of six tacos, they should have made it together – two hands, two plates.
This is where I’m so sad! Taco prices are up to $3.29 each now – fine if they’re good and hearty! They are not. We’ve always separated the two tortillas and fillings to make two tacos with cabbage and salsa and pickled stuff. Delicious, right? Three tacos have always filled me to but apparently we haven’t been back recently (probably because we go out on the weekends and their quality and service seemed to be extra off on weekends) and the tacos shrank. I kid you not, two bites for my husband, three for me.
These tacos are the result is Shrinkflation and it’s so sad. The chicken was almost flavorless, as was the barbacoa. The tortillas were smaller than my hand.
As we were eating they were cleaning around us (7pm, so we weren’t closing the place up), sweeping and wiping etc, and I don’t know, it’s probably fine, but I’m not a huge fan of sweeping near people who are actively eating, though I do appreciate their commitment to cleanliness.

I can’t believe I waited so long to try it! After driving past it countless times, I finally decided to stop, and I’m so glad I did.
From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional. The staff was friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The menu offers a delightful variety of vegetarian dishes, which is a huge plus for my family, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious.
I brought my kids along, and they loved the food just as much as I did! The portions are generous, ensuring that everyone leaves satisfied. The clean and inviting atmosphere makes it a perfect spot for families and large groups.
Overall, this place exceeded my expectations in every way. I can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience!

Ordered takeout. When I arrived, I was told that they had run out of Chile rellenos. The owner apologized and asked what I wanted instead. The kitchen whipped up a very tasty substitution and I was on my way. Always the best customer service and food. (no rating on atmosphere since it was takeout)

We were visiting Heber City from Nevada and stopped here twice for dinner during our stay. The birria and carne asada were really good. The fries for the carne asada fries were crispy and not soggy. The portions were very generous and the food was freshly prepared. There’s a fully stocked salsa bar, and the cashiers were very friendly. Super surprised to find good Mexican food in Heber City, and this is definitely the place to come to! Also, definitely try the salsa de molcajete.

Fantastic time here, had a team meeting with 12 of us and they handled it very well. Super nice and very professional, got all of our meals right as well which can be hard to do with so many people! I highly recommend.

Went here for a girls’ night, and we all tried a different dish. Every single one was amazing in its own way! Portions are large, and the prices are pretty good. Staff was super friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was fun and inviting.

Grandma and I stopped by for a bite after a big rain storm. Rain makes granny feel feisty and willing to try new things so we stopped by El Guero. Now, if it’s your first time, you have to order the molcajete. Literally the best Mexican dish in the valley (and grandma loves to point out just how many Mexican places there are). But we decided to go off script and order the super nachos and chilaquiles. Unreal, some of the best Mexican I’ve had. The seating is a little different and the place gets packed but that’s not a negative. It feels like my little Mexican home away from home. Stop by, order something crazy on a rainy day and make a night to remember.
