I went here at 12-16-25, at 5:30 PM. I was having a decent evening and left Sephora. I seen the food here, and decided to give it a shot. I greeted a heavier woman with a hair-bun. She instantly had terrible customer service and bad energy.
I felt like she absolutely hated her job and did not want to deal with me. I asked if I could have the fries, and she got annoyed and asked what meat. It was my first time so I asked a very normal question, what kind of meat do you have.
She turned slightly towards the sign as if I was stupid and avoided eye-contact, and quickly mumbled what they have. I asked for the Asada meat. She quickly pressed the screen, dumped the receipt in my hand with a beeper thing and told me, “Here’s your number — thank you.”
I honestly should have canceled my order at that point, for getting treated like that.
And for the food? Way over priced. It was like $16. The fries were way too oily, the meat was a bit overcooked and also oily, with a bit of chewy fat.
The rest of the staff seemed the same except for a man with a black hat who seemed to smile.
I will never come back. I also do not recommend.

I can’t get enough of their fish and chicken tacos! Made just right, bursting with flavor, tangy and a bit spicy, juicy fish or chicken….. just amazing ! The location in Hillsdale mall with the dining area right in front makes it all the more attractive every time I go shopping.

10/2022-California burrito with pastor was delicious but a bit salty. Fries were still crispy. Carnitas was also tasty. Employees were wearing masks.
11/2019-Everything tasted delicious just like their other locations but probably 30% marked up and it took 25 min wait on a Friday night. California burrito was awesome. You gotta ask for the spicy pickled carrots and limes.

Nice place to end your mall visit with delicious Mexican food. Love the Quesadilla, Meaty Fries, Burrito and Tacos. The food court is also great to sit and eat after shopping in the mall.

I was craving Mexican and ordered through DoorDash. I didn’t realize this place was at a food court inside a mall. I got a super taco, meaty fries, and a California burrito. The super taco was not worth $5. The menu said it has guacamole and salsa fresca, but my taco was missing that. The meaty fries was bland. The carne asada didn’t have much flavor and there wasn’t enough meat. I would probably order this again with a different meat topping only because I love carne asada fries and haven’t found another spot that have this on their menu. The California burrito with al pastor was really good and flavorful.

hi, I ordered a California burrito with marinated pork, to just try the place. In the burrito is no veggies but is listed guacamole for $2 different from the regular burrito. In my burrito were little meat and zero guacamole. I was hungry I ate, but that kind of burrito is not worth half of the price. I told the lady there about it, but nothing happened. Baja Grill restaurants have under $10 and really delicious Mexican food when you need to grab something fast. But never this place.

Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. I ordered the chicken nachos and a bean and cheese burrito, and both fell completely flat.
The chips in the nachos tasted stale and had no depth of flavor. The meat was overly salty, and while the portion size was generous, the taste was so off-putting I couldn’t eat it. As for the bean and cheese burrito—how do you mess up something so simple? The cheese wasn’t even melted, which made it feel thrown together and unappetizing.
I asked for some salsa to try and salvage the meal, and despite spending over $40 for just two items, we were only given one small serving of salsa.
The horchata had a noticeable sink water aftertaste, which made it hard to drink. The service was just okay—nothing outright rude, but definitely not welcoming or attentive either.
I really wanted to enjoy this place, but nothing about the experience was positive. I won’t be coming back.

Good overall. California is known for Mexican food (learned that when I was here) not the best but not the worst. I find it strange you can customize what you put in it.
