I ordered 5 suadero tacos and unfortunately all of them were extremely dry, tough, and overcooked.
Suadero is supposed to be tender and juicy, but this tasted like meat that had been reheated and over-fried. There was no moisture, no fat, and no tenderness at all.
I paid $27 for this order and ended up throwing most of it away. This was honestly one of the worst taco experiences I’ve had.
Very disappointed, especially given the price and expectations.

Order Online like I usually do and upon arrival I see this sign. Called to the other location to see if they can fulfill my order or cancel it. The manager told me eventho its a franchise they can’t help me with anything because it the owners ex-wife. Called the toast customer service number and they told me the manager had access to cancel the order since on the website all the locations are connected. Super frustrating and exhausting dealing with this issue. Restaurant should’ve updated their websites and google info instead of just posting a small sign on ordering window

Soft tacos are &$4, good size portions, tried the lengua, soft and tender. The huarcahe (deep fried corn pouch, stuffed with a filling and topped with you choice of meat, plus onions & cilantro, it was a nice surprise, never had one before but it’s definitely a fork dish!

Out of all the tacos el Gordo locations, this one is the absolute worst. First they don’t take orders on the phone even though the rest do, they don’t take orders online even though the rest DO. And when you do order off UberEats they wait until the driver arrives to cancel the order when I’m expecting my food in the next few minutes. 35 minutes I waited for them to just cancel my order. And I order from there every day for lunch, no less than 20+ times a month, not because they have the best quality, but because they are super close and convenient. Now they’ve ruined that. And I don’t know if they got a new cook or something but my tacos have been tasting like shit. Burnt steak, sloppy presentation, all around a bunch of incompetent clowns ruining a beloved franchise in the Bay Area.

We ordered from this place, the burrito was great..however the chili Verde was ALL BONES. Every chunk of meat has bone, and even a singular bone was there. It was rock hard and completely inedible. And no one from Uber Eats will get back to me. What would have happened if it was in a burrito? Just bite into bones?

This place has some of the best tacos. We always come to tacos el Gordo whenever we want to have some good food. We normally get the carnitas tacos, al pastor, grilled chicken, and carne asada. The service here is always kind and friendly. They have 5 picnic tables outside, and you can sit there. We have never had any complaints about this place. Normally, the line to order is long, and the prices are mid range but it’s definitely worth it!!

Generally avoid this place , don’t get tricked they are not the authentic tacos el Gordo. tacos are small and extremely greasy. meat amount and quality is bad for the price, no guacamole either and the place is cold and windy, there wasn’t much options to drink.

Got just chicken for my daughter SO FALVORFUL . I got 2 steak for me. Their salsa was a little spicy and decently flavorful and need spicer. Grilled onions and jalapeños and regular radish. With pickled carrots. Super good I went back for 2nds later that night. Burritos was good too. Will definitely be back. Price was about normal suggest to get their early cus later the line is long. The people don’t really speak English except one girl really.

Best Taco Place, Food is awesome and fresh. The only negative is the place is too windy and its so crazy cold nevertheless food is hot and awesome and everyone line up for it. I go here with my sister alot. Good place to stop by for a quick snack, lunch or dinner.
