I’ve been to Tacos El Giro several times in the past and always enjoyed their food, so I was really disappointed with my most recent visit. We ordered a variety of items — asada and pollo tacos, quesadilla tacos, and a regular quesadilla. The staff was friendly, the service at the window seemed good, and the total was about $45 with a tip.
Unfortunately, when I got home, I discovered that all four of my tacos were completely missing the toppings I asked for — no onions, no cilantro, no lime, and no hot sauce. It was literally just tortillas and meat. The other meals in our order were correct, but mine was entirely wrong.
I called to let them know, hoping they might offer a partial refund or at least acknowledge the inconvenience, especially since I live across town. Instead, I was told I would need to bring the food back to have it remade. When I explained that driving all the way back wasn’t realistic, there was no attempt to work with me or offer any other solution. The person on the phone also blamed the mistake on an employee in a pretty unprofessional way, which didn’t sit well with me either.
It’s frustrating to pay full price (plus tip) and end up having to make my own toppings at home just to enjoy my meal. I’ve never had an issue here before, but this experience was definitely disappointing. I really hope they improve their order accuracy and customer service going forward, because this visit left a bad impression.

My sister and I ordered a Queso Birria to split. It was a good portion and stuffed well with queso and birria with delicious consome and side sauces. The owner was even so sweet, he offered us some other sauces to try with the food (which made it even better). The overall experience was so great. It was worth giving them an extra $10 tip! And coming back for sure!

Excellent customer service from the cashier and his dad. Excellent food to match. I have been looking for a place that makes birria-style tacos, quesadillas, and Ramen that isn’t JUST beef. You can substitute for pork or chicken, I did pork, and it was fantastic!

Quesa birria tacos were amazing and fresh! I asked for extra cheese and they delivered!! The consommé is delicious and flavorful. Salsas had great flavor as well! Husband enjoyed his chicken burrito which was huge! Horchata is also very good and cold! Excellent customer service.

Omg the Quesa-birria tacos are to DIE FOR. So juicy and delicious. The undercovered dining was average, all the tables were a little dirty but I’m here for the food anyways so these bomb tacos made up for it
