Had a 50+ dollar order today and I ordered fish tacos Mexican style C.O. Which stands for cilantro and onion and they put cheese and tomato and lettuce and this isn’t the 1st time this has happened and with my fajita dinner I did not receive the corn tortillas it comes with after happening multiple times I will be taking mt business elsewhere very unprofessional to happen multiple times and when it’s a 50+ dollar order.

Super good food. Prices are a little high but what’s not these days. The salsa/hot sauce options are all amazing and pair very well with the dishes. The staff is always very friendly and super polite. Definitely a spot I’ll keep in my rotation.

I stopped by this restaurant on a Tuesday around 4:30 PM, and the place was nearly empty—I only saw one other person picking up food. I’m not from the area, but I wanted to support a small business rather than the other Mexican restaurant down the street.
My mother ordered caldo de res, and I got three steak tacos and one taco de cabeza. The taco de cabeza was okay—I’d rate it a 6/10, but the steak tacos were the worst I have ever had! The meat tasted precooked and reheated, and my tortilla was actually hotter than the steak itself.
When I mentioned this to the waitress, she informed me that this was a franchise, which I hadn’t realized and confirmed that the meat did indeed come precook!!! What!!! I never heard of steak taco meat being precooked it literally does not take much to cook taco meat! Meanwhile, my mom noticed that the meat in her caldo de res looked greenish, like it wasn’t fresh. It had that off-color you see when meat has been sitting in the fridge too long or maybe had freezer burn from being stored improperly. Either way, it did not look like fresh caldo de res meat, so I refused to eat it.
Thankfully, the waitress didn’t make me pay for it, but overall, the food was horrible. I really hope they start cooking things fresh because this experience was very disappointing.
Would not recommend.

Appetizer guacamole,
Service,wife ask for coffee, waitress said they were sorry there was none but if my wife was willing to wait for few minutes she would make fresh coffee
We appreciate this ,she went out of her way,, while there were other customers.
Food, we ordered, the waitress ask if would like to order homade tortillas which we highly recommend they are fresh
I can tell you one thing my wife is a very picky lady and she would speak out ,as our food arrived,
I was surprised to see wife ate her three tacos. She said they were so delicious

I’m disappointed in myself for not sticking to the regular Mexican tacos, perhaps I would’ve had a better experience. Take my word and DO NOT get the fish tacos. Out of the 3 tacos that cost me $15 bucks. I didn’t see 1 flake of fish. I don’t know what the hell that was. The only reason I didn’t take it back was because I don’t live by 28th Street & it was late Sunday. I’ll definitely know next time.

Usually it’s really good but this time I got in as soon as I stepped a foot into the building the girl yells for here or to go? I say to go and ask for three chicken tacos with beans and rice, she just stares at me and says “would you like a taco trio?” I said “what comes with it?” And she said “three tacos with beans and rice” so I say yes. Bc that’s literally what I asked for. Then when she asks if I want a receipt, I say no and she’s just staring at me like I’m stupid (honestly she had that vibe the whole time, and didn’t seem like she was even listening) So I said no receipt again. A different very nice girl bring me my food. I leave and when I get home I see two steak tacos, and one pork taco with beans and rice.. It was still delicious but I felt like she was rude and wasn’t listening at all.

1717 28th SW location Terrible!! I ordered two shrimp tacos, a chicken taco and a beef taco. I got home and they did not put the chicken taco in with the order. I called to tell them and they acted like I was lying. She said she packed it all together and hung up !! I will never go back. I encourage you not to go there they will rip you off. Under new owners and the second time they treated me this way.
As you can see from the photo three tacos not the four I ordered and paid for!! I added the guacamole at home. This place sucks !!! Terrible customer service and the food is gross Go anywhere else! The new ownership and staff are nasty and so is the food! Terrible!!
