We had such a great first experience at Tacos Don Hector! I ordered the LOADED Torta, my wife had the Pastor Vampiro, and our little ones enjoyed a plain taco and a plain cheese quesadilla. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The torta was packed with tender meat, melty cheese, and the right amount of crunch, while the pastor on the vampiro had that amazing smoky-sweet flavor.
Our server was fantastic, friendly, attentive, and really took the time to explain the menu in detail, even pointing out popular selections that ended up being spot-on recommendations. You can tell the team here takes pride in what they serve and in making guests feel welcome.
If you’re in the mood for authentic flavors, generous portions, and top-notch service, this place should be at the top of your list. We’ll definitely be coming back

My husband and I went into Hector’s tonight and I highly recommend this place! From the moment we walked in, we were instantly greeted by a friendly man and woman who welcomed us and went over the menu and drinks with us.
We ordered nachos, a quesadilla, and two drinks. While we were at the salsa bar, the woman cooking was so kind and walked us through the different salsas. She even brought our food out personally and stayed just as friendly the entire time. A little into our meal, the man came by to check on us to see how everything was—which is the kind of service you rarely see anymore. It was refreshing and very much appreciated.
The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and the salsas had just the right spice (exactly how I like it!). Overall, they made us feel very welcome, and the food did not disappoint. We’ll definitely be back for sure!

The food was just okay. We ordered the hot cheeto burrito and nachos. I did love the cucumber lime Agua Fresca, it was very refreshing and not overly sweet. You can tell they are big on customer service. They were very kind and personable. The food came out quick.

I just had the most delightful experience at this family-run hidden gem! From the moment I walked in, the owner greeted me with enthusiasm. The warmth they bring shines through in everything—from their hospitality to their authentic Mexican dishes. The food was rich in flavor, truly authentic, and the portions were more than generous. On top of that, the prices were very reasonable. I’ll be coming back for sure—and I can’t recommend this cozy spot enough. Five stars, without a doubt!

My husband and I stopped by Tacos Don Hector for lunch this afternoon after visiting another vendor in the plaza, and we are SO glad we did. The food was absolutely incredible — their Hot Cheeto Burrito was out of this world, and the tacos (especially the chorizo taco!) were straight BOMB. So flavorful and perfectly made!
Their aguas frescas are homemade, and you can taste the difference. The horchata was rich and creamy, and the cucumber lime was FIRE — super refreshing and packed with flavor.
The owners, Hector and his wife, were super friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome right away.
The restaurant itself is super cute, with a fun black-and-orange theme that gives it such a cool, inviting vibe. Even his wife’s adorable orange bow matched the décor, which made the whole place feel even more charming and thoughtful. You can tell they put heart into every detail — from the atmosphere to the food.

Delicious food! As a California native, I truly appreciate great tacos, and this place never disappoints. Dining here always makes me feel at home. The staff are genuinely kind and welcoming, and the quality of the food is excellent. The meat is well-seasoned and full of flavor—I even pick up tacos for my dog from time to time. So happy to they opened up their new restaurant closer to us in Glendale! The quality of meat and ingredients is outstanding! The owners are super nice and attentive to us, always! We had a little bit of everything and are favorites are the Al Pastor tacos, Al pastor Burrito, Taco Don Hector, and the patty melt definitely a great small business to support and show love to! Got a burrito don hector with an horchata wish I took a picture of it. It was a bit small of a burrito for the price but it was amazing that I overlooked it!!!! The flavors the salsa was well seasoned and thick (pause) not watery.
Hector mentioned the horchata was all made from scratch — you can tell it’s so delicious not too milky not too thick and not too sweet!
I was fairly impressed!! I think I found my new spot!
