We had the opportunity to visit Tacos & Crust in Norfolk, VA, and it was truly an amazing experience.
From the moment you walk in, you feel a warm and welcoming atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. The food tastes authentic — the kind of flavor that reminds you of home-cooked meals made with care.
We started with the Borracho Fries and they were outstanding. The marinated steak was incredibly flavorful, served over a delicious cheese sauce base, and topped with fresh pico de gallo and guacamole. Every bite was perfect.
We also tried the Birria Pizza, and it exceeded all expectations. The crust was clearly made fresh from scratch — you can taste the difference. The combination of flavors was unique, rich, and absolutely delicious.
You can tell this place puts heart into their food. Highly recommend supporting this wonderful local restaurant. We will definitely be back!

I’ve been here twice in the past two weeks and my experiences have been nothing but great. Friendly and attentive staff, clean restaurant, and delicious food. I’ve had the carne asada tacos and birrie pizza. Both were delicious! Make sure to use consomé. The only thing that is different was that they don’t serve chips and salsa. Instead it’s chips and sauce. I like the medium and mild sauces the best. They’re great with the chips but even better on the tacos. They’ve only been open a few weeks, so I’m sure they’re still working out new restaurant problems. Swing by and give them a try.

Our visit to Tacos & Crust was a positive experience overall. While $34.89 for two items felt a bit expensive, the portions were large and the food came out hot and fresh. The Sizzlin’ Snuggler Burrito and Borracho Fries featured very similar ingredients, resulting in comparable flavors. The restaurant was clean, the service was friendly, and we appreciated the complimentary chips and salsa along with the 10% military discount. We would recommend!

Originally, my family and I were going to order online, but realized the menu on the delivery service app does not give details about what is in the menu items. We decided to go to the restaurant and get a to-go order. Immediately, this restaurant is noticeably clean and friendly. We ordered: the taco and crust pizza, absolutely delicious; the west coast burrito, mouth-watering; and the kids taco, my toddler is a picky eater, but he demolished the refried beans that came with it. Only waited, maybe, 15 minutes for food. The portions are generous, as well. Absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone. The pizza/taco combo is creative, and its execution is flawless and delicious. Cannot wait to come back here!

Enjoyable experience all around. Be mindful that it is a new restaurant and every new restaurant has hiccups they are working out. They have take out menus on order but you can view the menu on their FB page or going in to order. By the time we got in around 7pm for dine in there were some complimentary sauces that they were out of but the one we did get to try (jalapeño aioli) was good and creamy. We really enjoyed the cheese dip we ordered. We ordered the Carne Azada which was tender and flavorful and the taco pizza which we were impressed by. We also ordered the kids quesadilla and I like the addition of ham in it. The workers all seemed to be happy to work there and took pride in telling us about the menu and the sauces they offer. We did have to ask what drinks were offered as it wasnt listed anywhere but they serve coke products for reference. Very friendly customer service all around. We will definitely be back to try other menu items and hopefully be able to try some of the other sauces. It is a smaller location with limited seating so be mindful that if you go and it is busy, there may be a wait. All around my family enjoyed the spin of pizza and tacos.

I was definitely not expecting to be as satisfied as I was! The food was hot and it came out quick and the staff was so nice. The owners were very enthusiastic about their food, it’s all made fresh there and it’s a nice mix of Mexican and pizza that I never expected. Fantastic. Definitely check it out.

First this first, the owners are amazing! It was a busy night when we went in due to them having to close early to remake food so they could remain open the rest of the night. It didn’t delay the food being brought out, affect the attitudes or atmosphere and made sure each customer was taken care of. The food is absolutely delicious and each staff member was busy working hard. Definitely will be our new favorite local spot!

Great restaurant experience. Wonderful place.. but I use to get 2 slices and a coke for 8 bucks when this was Sals. I sat down to look over the menu and no pizza by the slice. Once again, nothing wrong with the new establishment however $20 plus drinks and tip turns my little pizza run into a quite the bill. I’ll be back with family to try out the menu though for now, I need to find a new by the slice joint.
