I stopped in while traveling. Not sure what to expect, I was quite surprised. The size of my breakfast tacos was filling and perfect (not skimpy). The sweet tea was on point. And the owner was very nice. I will be returning when I am in the area. Definitely a lil gem in this town.

If you’re in Trinity, you have to stop at Tacos by the Trax. It is hands down some of the best authentic Mexican food in the area.
I tried the Birria tacos, and they were incredible. The meat was tender and juicy, and the flavor was spot on—especially when you dip them in the consommé. The steak street tacos were just as good, seasoned perfectly and served the right way with fresh onions, cilantro, and great salsa.
Definitely a hidden gem. Great food, good portions, and friendly service. Highly recommend!

We were in town for a 5K race this weekend and had dinner here. Very good food! I enjoyed it enough that I came back for the breakfast taco the next morning. I’d come back!

First timer… I had the breakfast tacos, 1 bacon 1 sausage. The price was high for one taco but I can see why. They stuff the tortillas to the max. 1 taco here is equivalent to 2+ tacos anywhere else. Now for taste, it was decent. It’s really nothing special but it definitely hit the spot in the morning. The red and green salsa were good. In a small town like Trinity, I don’t see much competition when it comes to tacos, so therefore this is the spot to go to in the area. I will definitely be back for a hearty taco when I’m in the area. Oh yeah, I was told that the full menu is available all day, even at opening hours which I thought was awesome. Next time I’ll have to try something from the lunch menu to see how it is.

I’m always looking for places where I can do healthier options when I’m on the road. Spotted this and thought I would give it a try as they had chicken tacos and bowls. Sadly, everything comes with refried beans which is one of the worst things you can eat and the most tasteless. I ordered two of the tacos which are almost $6 a piece and as I’m allergic to milk I couldn’t have the cheese or the sour cream and I asked for the refried beans to be left off. Which is fine by me I’m okay with just vegetables and the meat that’s my preference. The red and orange salsa / sauce for the tacos was really good as someone else has mentioned, however the tacos themselves had very little meat and practically no vegetables. It was largely a taco stuffed full of potatoes which is the cheapest thing next to the refried beans you could put on a food item. Thank God it wasn’t super greasy like something of that sort normally would be. But very disappointed like someone else said it’s just mediocre food and in this case it is way overpriced because you’re mostly getting potatoes I strongly suspect if you get the cheese and sour cream that’s supposed to come with it you don’t get much of that either but I can’t speak to that what I can’t speak to is I had two potato tacos this morning each of them might have had two tablespoons of chicken and one tablespoon of vegetables. Also after I asked to use the restroom only to find out there’s no restroom. In most states a building serving food is required by law to have a restroom. I’m left wondering how people who eat here wash their hands before they eat – nasty! I’m also left wondering after pondering it, how are the employees in the kitchen are handling not having a restroom? I hope I don’t end up sick is now the bottom line.

Our go to taco place when we are at the lake. When they make them right the brisket nachos are amazing also. We’ve seen some fluctuation in the quality though. Always friendly and they will bring it out to your car when its ready. Pricy for a small town but worth it

From Houston to Wells, these mini street tacos were worth the pit stop in Trinity. 5 brisket and 5 chicken, fresh onion & cilantro were gone in a flash! Don’t let the little yellow building fool you, it puts out AMAZING flavor. Can’t wait to try more from the menu. And the $3 snow cones a walk across the street was a hit with the kids.
