First time trying the New Mexican restaurant in town and let me say we will definitely be back!! Growing up with Hispanic family, this brought back all the familiar smells of my youth!
Ceviche was great, we also had their homemade guacamole, delicious!!
Al pastor Street Tacos and fajitas were top notch! I’m looking forward to a huge margarita next time hopefully they get their liquor license soon!

El Amigo in Trumansburg, NY is a great spot that delivers both good food and a welcoming atmosphere. The vibe inside is warm and relaxed, making it an easy place to settle in with friends or family for a casual meal. The service is friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the decor gives off an inviting small-town charm that fits perfectly with Trumansburg’s laid-back feel. The food was flavorful and well-prepared, with everything arriving fresh and nicely presented. The quesabirria tacos were a hit—rich, cheesy, and perfectly seasoned with tender meat and a dipping broth that tied everything together beautifully. Portion sizes were generous without being too heavy, and the overall experience felt thoughtful and consistent. Whether you are passing through or a local looking for a new favorite spot, El Amigo is definitely worth visiting.

A great renovation of a very central location for Trumansburg, a little bit of nostalgia for the old camels restaurant. The renovation provides a really well lit place with lots of fun themed color. A family friendly place with a huge menu and attentive servers. I would definitely go back.

This is my new favorite restaurant in Trumansburg. Which is saying something, because despite the size of the town, we have a fair amount of excellent places to get a bite to eat. I ordered the campechano tacos while my partner had the shrimp fajitas. We were both very happy with our choices. Everything was flavorful and fresh. The service was very fast and the new space is lovely with plenty of booth seating.
If you live in, near, or just happen to travel through Trumansburg you owe it to yourself to give El Amigo a shot

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner and we had a wonderful experience. I got the adobo beef chimichangas and he got the carne asada. Delicious food, best queso we’ve ever had and welcoming atmosphere. Would recommend!

Good energy, quick and friendly service, delicious food. I was one of 5, we had no complaints, my Veggie bowl was awesome. Juicy veggies that still had a crunch to them, solid guac, a touch of heat somewhere in there and all in the tortilla bowl that did not get soggy!

I work across the street at Royal buds and have been ordering food here since they opened. Really authentic and super delicious. I’ve tried many different burritos and enchiladas from here and they are all very good. Good price for the amount of food too. Keep up the great work guys!!
