I’ve been living in the area for a year now, and this place has been on my list. As a foodie, the main things I look for are Flavor, and consistency! This place serves both, with excellent customer service. The food is ALWAYS fresh, I’m slowly but surely going through the menu and everything has been 10/10. I’m super excited to try the rest, highly recommend this place! Also try the variety of salsas at the counter, each of them is insanely delicious and packs a nice kick to whatever you choose. If you’re a vegetarian, the potato Tacos hit the spot! They also have a nice beer selection for those that want to be at the heat and just enjoy a brew while waiting for the delicious food.

We had a great dinner!
We tried quesabirria tacos and they are fantastic, we are looking forward to returning soon. Torta al pastor was awesome! (Nothing left on the plate)
We recommend the owner to add a much spicier red sauce . But overall we rate 5 star this place, and believe me my wife and I are really picky about food.
They earned our trust to come back soon.

I just had lunch at Tacos y Papas and ordered their lunch plate. The shrimp tacos were absolutely divine — perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection — and the carne asada was flavorful, tender, and not fatty at all. The aguas frescas were such a delight, especially the horchata, which was creamy and not overly sweet. I think I’ve officially found my new favorite taco spot!

This is our first time at the shop. We had the fish taco, quesa-birria taco, potato Taco, and El pastor. All were great! The pineapple was fresh on the El pastor. The street corn was also very good.
The owner is very friendly and helpful in helping us to select what to try.
This is now our favorite taco shop in this area on the 210.

A great spot to grab some tacos after a game of Warhammer. The pickled onions were surprisingly delicious, while the asada tacos were flavorful. I suggest grabbing a cactus cooler and some of their green salsa to top of the tacos and rice.

After going to the movies in Monrovia with my family, we were hungry and wanted a fast and tasty lunch. We stumbled upon Tacos & Papas, a Mexican restaurant. Unsure of what to order, we decided on my favorite: chicken and asada tacos, rice, and beans. My husband chose the chicken tostada plate. We also got some horchata and lemonade to go with our meal. We were lucky to find a table before the seating filled up. The service was friendly, and we didn’t have to wait long for our food. The tacos were good, and I especially liked the Mexican-style rice. It’s a good place for a quick Mexican meal.

Food was delicious I got the shrimp tacos and queso birria taco. Staff was really nice and had no problem answering all my questions since it was my first time. The place itself is a bit small but not a deal breaker I will definitely come back.

Terrible service, terrible attitude. Cold food, but I’m sure it wouldn’t be so cold If the cashier at the front wasn’t standing there, having a conversation over my bag of food for 10 minutes following me paying. The order was done long before I got there. This is not the first time he has done this and Intentionally made me wait for a completed order.
