Tacos & Avocados launched in November 2024 in North Texas. T&A is not really Tex-Mex – we like to think of ourselves as “Mex-Tex”. Our menu is authentic Mexican cooking influenced by local Texas traditions, prepared in a scratch kitchen with only the freshest ingredients. Food & family bring people together for some of the best times of life. We created a place with vibrant colors & bold flavors to share a meal with friends or family. Pull up a chair with us & have some fun – we have the best T&A in town!

We also enjoyed their specialty margaritas during happy hour.
The frozen Leche flavor was great. My husband enjoyed the blackberry one. The service was excellent, our server was very attentive, regularly checking whether we needed anything.
We highly recommend this place.
Friendly, Great Vibes and Affordable!!
I walked in not knowing anything about this place. Love tacos and am obsessed with new vibes. This new vibe came to Texas November 2024 Fantastic! I walked in and was greeted warmly by a large crew of people trying new salsas and they were so kind and lively even invited me to try some. A very happy man I didn’t get his name.. let me seat anywhere I wanted, I picked a corner pocket to watch the action and still vibe the room.
I picked outside gorgeous day music playing the in the background.
Bella was my server absolutely FANTASTIC!!! She answered my questions and even gave some options so I was aware of the food I was requesting. I wasn’t going to drink but her description and her proud and likable demeanor of their amazing Margaritas took me in for the gulp and I found myself craving a Margarita. Delicious!! She came out and had mixed two of her favorites GREAT CHOICE!! Guava and
She was so happy and pleasant and bragged about the dishes and the ownership. She said she loved her job and loved the people she worked with. Refreshing to see an employee not only love what she does and who she works with but show such a great example of hard-work and dedication to a company. Tacos and Avacado are so lucky to have her! Food was amazing who knew I would get full off of a avacado. It was a deep fried avacado that had pico, cilantro, some vegetables and carrot. Carrot was an interesting option but the pairing all together made a fantastic bite. The salad they offer at the beginning was soft and not too spicy though I prefer a little bit bigger of a kick delicious though. I got Queso which was on their Happy Hour all day Wednesdays! Sooo good creamy and thick like it should be. Topped with chorizo. Perfecto!
This place is the place to be! It’s great for a cute couples night, drinks with friends and laughter with family. Delicious and very pleasant. I ended the night with a man named Bob who came over and he was fantastic! You can tell he loves his crew and team and Restuarant.
I have to brag again! A lot of taco places have gone overboard knowing we love our tacos and they have done such a great job in keeping it classy and affordable to the community! College students and families! A great place to bring work events too!! Thank you guys will def be back!! Shout out to Bella if you get her tip her extra for being Amazing! Jackie the assistant manager and Kenny came out at different times to check on me!! What a great team!! Def made me feel welcome and want to come back!!
Angela has the best smile and personality! She was attentive and helpful in answering our questions regarding the menu.
The view of the sunset was fabulous this evening!
Fajita combo and the fried avocado bowl did not disappoint!
My husband had a beer and I had water. We ordered the shrimp cocktail. It was good and a little different. It definitely has some chili powder and/or paprika to give it a smokier taste (like Valentina hot sauce). The shrimp are bigger than at some other places. I ordered the chicken tinga enchiladas with double beans and my husband got the carnitas tacos with corn tortillas. He enjoyed his meal very much. I liked mine as well, but it was spicier than I’m used to. I like spice, but if I eat a big spicy meal for dinner I will have an uncomfortable night! So, I still had the beans and some enchilada left. The refried beans tasted homemade and I liked them. If I hadn’t had shrimp cocktail, I maybe could have finished my plate. This is all to say the portions are appropriate, not too big, not too small. I would come back. I want to try the fried avocado salad because it reminds me of a salad I used to enjoy at Cristina’s, and I hope it’s comparable. I liked the food here way more than at El Rincón. I used to like going there 8 years ago when we moved to Carrollton, but the last few meals there were kind of meh. I encourage you to try this place. You can get a good meal at a very fair price. They have lunch specials during the week that aren’t that much more than a fast food meal, and I assure you it’s probably healthier to go this route. I hope T&A does well in downtown. And their name is very tongue in cheek, ha ha.
My only reason for 4 stars was they gave me the wrong food order to go. I wss really looking forward to the bacon wrapped jalapeno popper and received chicken when i got home.
