Pulling up, the line snaked out the door and standing room was the only option—this isn’t a sit-down joint with cozy booths. This is a grab-your-food-and-go kind of spot, the kind where the crowd alone tells you something good is happening inside.
We ordered a burrito and a taco to share, and both were straight-up delicious. The sauces deserve their own shout-out—especially the orange one. Smoky, bold, and packed with personality. A little hotter than my taste buds usually sign up for, but honestly? Worth it.
Despite being absolutely slammed, the staff stayed friendly, fast, and totally on top of their game. You could feel the hustle and the pride behind that counter.
If you’re in the area and craving Mexican food, do yourself a favor and hit Taco 65. It’s the kind of place you try once and instantly add to your rotation.
No real dining area to speak of, and parking can be difficult when it’s busy, but neither issue is a deal breaker and even having to park down the street and walk in is completely worth it.
Staff has always been friendly and efficient, even in the busiest of lunch rushes. It’s a fantastic local business that deserves every bit of praise and all the stars I can give it.
The taste was excellent, the portion was just right, the price was reasonable, and the staff were friendly.
The chorizo was cooked beautifully – rich, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. I’ll admit, I hadn’t read the menu closely and didn’t realize guacamole was included in the price, so its arrival was a pleasant surprise. I’m quite fond of guacamole, so that worked out just fine.
The taco was generously packed with meat, which was fantastic. However, this abundance also highlighted the taco’s only real weakness: it was served on a single corn tortilla. With no second layer for structural support, the taco began to fall apart as I ate. I found myself trying to hold it together, and while it was a bit of a struggle, the flavor did make worth the effort. I would recommend ordering double layered if you want to avoid this.
I also appreciated the simplicity of the menu – no mumbo-jumbo.
