I wanted to give this 5 stars but the fact that they charge you a service fee for using your debit card and don’t even mention that this will be added is bananas. They also didn’t provide any utensils/napkins- so make sure to ask for them if you order online. The chicken birria tacos were full of flavor and definitely worth the price. (Not skimp) The yellow garlic rice was really good as well.

I like this place there tacos are very good. But I think they can definitely change their attitudes and dirty looks. Also 100% think they can be way more generous with the amount of rice they give especially when you order double rice. The slots of rice should be filled to the brim especially the money we pay for it. Also just ordered tonight and order a taco without tomatoes and cilantro but they gave both of those things and wanted corn but they didn’t give the corn. And the food was very cold. Just my honest opinion.

We ate at this restaurant on Tuesday. It was our first time eating there.
I am so glad we went! We had tickets to go see a show later that evening, so I was happy that the service was so fast! Got us in and out!
I got the burrito bowl, crazy nachos, and the crazy quesadilla to go.
The portions were so huge! Fed me for 3 days!
My boyfriend got tacos, and empanadas.
Everything was very fresh and tasty!
Whenever we are in the area again, we will definitely be back!
Thank you guys so much! We appreciate you

TLDR: Fast & casual, delicious flavors, huge portions.

We ordered at the kiosk upon entry, opting for a Birria Rice Bowl and a Steak Burrito, both piled high with 7 toppings each. We also added a large drink and chips & salsa. The total came out to around $29.

We chose a table to sit at and waited for our food. The workers behind the counter finished our items individually and brought them out to us. I was surprised the chips and drink were not offered first as an appetizer, but it didn’t matter too much. The birria brisket was delicious. It was aromatic, tender, and juicy. The steak was also flavorful, with a charred/smoky taste to it, and juicy. Each entree was packed with meat, so much so that every bite had a good amount. The burrito was well wrapped and packed full with the variety of other toppings I asked for. The chips were crispy and the salsa had a good flavor mixture of pepper, tomato, and cilantro. The toppings available to be chosen included cilantro, lettuce, cabbage, cabbage slaw, pineapple, corn, tomato, onion, pico de gallo, shredded cheese mix, guac (extra charge), crushed chips (extra charge), and a few salsas & sauces. We also were able to choose our rice (spicy or garlic).

For the amount you are paying, the portions are huge. There was absolutely no skimping on the meat and any of the toppings. Chipotle by comparison seems like a joke. Unfortunate that this joint isn’t in more cities.

The atmosphere is unremarkable. The seating and layout is meant for a casual and quick meal out. There was plenty of seating when we arrived ~7pm on a Friday night. I appreciated the napkin dispensers at every table. I would absolutely recommend coming here for some very filling & tasty Mexican cuisine.

Very disappointed. I order from this place regularly and the food is always good and I get unmatched service (from the Hightstown location) so I decided to place a big order today for my work team of 18 which is closer to this Plainsboro location. Food was nasty, some orders were made incorrectly, very greasy and food just looks like prison food overall. One of the orders was “Stake Flautas”, take a look at the pictures and judge for yourself. It’s a shame that when you spend $20-$30 the service and food is unmatched only to place big orders of $250+ and have to throw out 85% of the food. Never again. If you have a big/catering order, stay away!

New to the area and saw this and wanted to try something new. Walked in and the workers didn’t seem too friendly, even after I said it’s my first time here, they pointed to a menu and told me to order at the screen. So I went to the kiosk to order. Got the birria quesadilla with side of guac and chips.

It was delivered quickly to my table, however it was a soggy mess and in a drenched in a plate of sauce. I’m not a Mexican food expert, but I assumed the quesadilla would be crispy… are they supposed to be soggy?

Pros: large portions and quick service. Chips and guac were good.

Cons: quality control of food needs to better managed… and flavors need to be improved.

Would recommend frying the quesadilla longer so it’s not a soggy mush… and seasoning the meat more…I left most of what you see in the photo…almost $25 spent…don’t think I’ll come back.

Also, this type of area requires more interactions, so have the staff engage with customers to explain the menu and what’s offered. It can be what makes or breaks your business…a friendly staff environment makes people want to come back and try new things.

We came here for a quick lunch on Friday. We were famished. The food arrived pretty quickly I thought considering Friday lunch hour. We ordered the crazy chicken quesadilla and mix Papusa.
The crazy chicken quesadilla was one of a kind… usually quesadilla is just chicken, onion, peppers and cheese. But this had tons of veggies like cabbage, avocado, carrots ( maybe ) which added an incredible crunch! Also I think there was sour cream in there which made it super creamy and delicious.
The other thing that we tried for the first time was papusa which is kind a stuffed flat bread with meat and cheese stuffing and the dough is corn. It came with a nice tomato dipping sauce. Overall I really liked the food. Very different from usual Taco Bell and chipotle. The place is clean and well maintained. Staff is nice. Go check it out !

Late night burrito was super disappointing. I ordered a ton of toppings but got a very Plainsboro burrito. Too bad. This place has potential. The tres leches was yummy and I love that they have Jarritos available.

OMG this place is awesome! So many varieties of food to choose from and a very nice attractive location. The bean and rice could use more flavor but the food is delicious. This is a nice place to go to after church since it’s straight across the street.
Update: The only thing I didn’t like was the Elite Shrimp, it tasted old and not fresh. I wouldn’t order from this Tacorito again.
