Lovely little place. Had dinner on wing night and was not disappointed. The food was delicious, and the service was great. Not to mention fast! Our food came out very quickly. Would recommend the Taconic Wayside Inn.

Been years since I’ve been here… Last time I was here I was 9 and visiting family with my mom. I have a very very vivid memory of an extremely sweet bartender for the couple days my mom and I stayed at the inn with Joe. I was obsessed with shirley temples and the cherries that came with. The bartender always gave me extra when I got one which was everyday that we were there lol. Joe also made some wings while we were there and to this day are still some of the best wings I’ve ever had. The most home away from home experience I have ever had especially with having family in New York. I’m almost 22 now and I really need to make a trip out to New York and visit the inn it’s been way too long!!!

Our first visit to the Taconic Wayside Inn, An absolute pleasure! Our appetizers were amazing! Mozzarella sticks and Garlic Parmesan wings were absolutely cooked perfectly!
We also had the Chicken Parmigiana and the Scallop Nantucket… both also prepared with love and perfection.
Our waitress was attentive and extremely friendly. It was wonderful that her daughter worked alongside her as well. All the staff whom we spoke to was extremely friendly and appreciated our feedback.
A Definitely Must Try Place To Go!!!

Love hole in the wall places BUT Will Never waste my money there again! $8.00 onion rings when there is 5 onion rings really?!? We went here after an event with our running club. There were about 20 of us and — it was my understanding, anyway — that the restaurant knew we were coming. Even so, they seemed a little overwhelmed and it took a long time to get our orders. Still, it’s a nice place to spend time. They have a nice selection of beers and the food, when it came, was very good and worth the wait. The dining room and bar we’re immaculately clean and the spaces we’re bright and welcoming. I’d go back when we return to the nearby State Park.

Went for lunch after Bash Bish Falls. Stunning renovation and family style dining room tables. A sprawling floor belied by the petite facade. Amazing selection and presentation in the meals. Friendly staff that were as sweet as if we were locals. Warning. Do not go if you are not looking to be full satiated.

What a beautiful building! We had 8 in our party and we all ordered (basically) something different. I dont believe anyone was disappointed. The only complaint about the seafood chowder is that everyone wanted more! It was very good. The waitress was very attentive. What food wasnt finished was taken home only because of the sheer amount! The only non-happy thing was they weste not able to split the bill on nto 4 separate checks. Go, enjoy!

Some friends and I stopped in after a short trip to Bash Bish Falls and were very happy with the service and the food. Excellent dinner menu and it won’t break the bank – each of us paid about $15 for a full meal. The inside has a lot of nice seating available, but we opted for the outdoor patio.
We were told this place is a lot of fun on summer evenings – we’ll definitely be back to check out the atmosphere!
