I was so pleased with my visit here! The atmosphere is amazing and one of a kind I feel as if I stepped straight into a music video of one of the songs played over there sound system!! (Trust Me when I say that is a great feeling//like I’m the main character!)

I don’t normally post bad reviews but this food was very disappointing. I saw a tiktok about this place and then read a bunch of good reviews and was so excited to try the food. The birria is what I recommend if you’re trying this place although it was overly salty. The carne asada was so chewy and so plain. The burrito was very plain in flavor. The arroz con leche was not good. The churro cake thing was good but the picture posted by the owner is misleading.

Not sure why the high ratings. But this place lacks flavor and the meat was not good. I ordered. A taco, burrito, asada fries, and a queso taco. This place comes across as doing something new and innovative but it’s basic. The meat was gummy and not edible there was a huge piece of meat on top of the asada fries but it was so gummy that I couldn’t swallow it down. A lot of it was like that. The Queso Taco was the worst I’ve ever had. It’s not to go friendly because you basically have to add all the items you want on the food before you leave. They only had the salsa cups and no small bags. For such a pricey cost for the food they should have pre-prepared bags and Salsas. I only kind of liked 1 salsa. This to me is lazy service here is a gummy meat taco with a dried tortilla now go put the ingredients you want. If they had the bags then they were out and I couldn’t ask the person behind the counter as they were too busy talking about how great their menu is and what they will be doing next. I really wanted to like it but this is a no go place for me. I couldn’t find a redeeming quality.

The food was hot and fresh. Birria queso tacos are packed with meat and cheese, but not to greasy.

Phenomenal tacos and pizza at this spot. I had chicken and pastor tacos and they were delicious. These are more street style and are packed with flavor. They have lots of options to choose from. I also grabbed a pizza and was so surprised it was also 10/10. Service here was really good. The owner gave me some recommendations, and I’m glad I listened. Will def come back for more.

Had the carne asada tacos , birria quesadilla and the chocolate flan. The tacos looked about as good as I would get at a supermarket the choco Flan was dry. The quesadilla had some redeeming qualities and good taste and flavorful consume. I’ll post pictures to show you what the tacos should look like and what they actually look like.

I’ve driven past this place a million times, but a TikTok video finally convinced me to stop, and let me tell you—it did not disappoint! Ignore the negativity; seriously, some of those low ratings must be from people who’ve never had great food. I went all in on the Asada Nachos and a couple of Pastor Tacos, and every bite was pure magic. You can instantly taste the commitment to fresh, real ingredients. The salsa bar is a game-changer; loading up my plate with all the fresh fixings was a massive win. This is the taste of Mexico City right here. So glad I finally discovered this hidden gem!

I love the Mexico City style food they have. My favorite was Al Pastor. I had a burrito very tasty. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Aguas frescas and deserts as well. Open from 10am to 10pm !! Will definitely come back. Thanks compadre.!!

Tacompadre in Santa Ana is a total winner! Let me tell you, their quesabirria tacos are the stuff dreams are made of. The birria is melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and they don’t skimp on the filling. But the real star is the crunchy flour tortilla. It’s the perfect balance of texture to the juicy goodness inside.
Looking for something a little different? The suadero alambre is a must-try. The suadero (skirt steak) is cooked to perfection, and the whole thing is overflowing with melty cheese. They don’t forget the veggies either, which adds a nice freshness to the dish.
And to top it all off, don’t miss the chocoflan. It’s the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. Creamy chocolate meets decadent flan in this delightful dessert.
Overall, Tacompadre is a hidden gem in Santa Ana. Amazing food, friendly service, and a great atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back!
