Reviews
My carne asada taco was good. The flavors were there and the tortillas did not taste like preservatives. I would reccomend they double layer their tortillas on the chicken tinga tacos, as no one likes to have their taco break apart on them. The salsas were good and their spice levels were as described.
We ordered chips and salsa and the waiter brought a very small container (which looked like a salsa bowl) of chips. Could’ve been less than 10 chips. The chips were flavorful and warm.
Overall, the food was decent. I wouldn’t find myself going out of my way to revisit.

Red and Green Salsa> B,
the red was somewhat spice and the green salsa was reminiscent of indian style mint chutney
Corn & Esquites> A
$4.88
Corn cut from the cob, topped with cotija cheese, homemade morita mayo, chile powder and fresh lime – and it’s all served in a cup. Contains Dairy, Contains Wheat or Gluten
Creamy and buttery with a sweet and salt contrast. Nothing need esle needed.
Rice & Beans> A
$5.48
Traditional Mexican arroz verde served with beans cooked with tomatillo, epazote and poblano pepper, topped
Buttery and warm. Not bad at all.
Baja Crispy Fish Taco>B
$7.98
Voted “Absolute Best Fish Taco” by New York Mag. Beer-battered North Atlantic cod topped with pico de gallo and homemade roasted poblano mayo. Now comes with pickled cabbage.
Beef Birria Taco>B
$7.48
The Famous Taco from Jalisco! A taco with Chihuahua cheese, served with a consomé for dipping and sipping! A savory, sweet & slightly spicy Mexican flavor from tender, braised brisket in chiles, garlic, herbs & spices.
Crispy Chicken Tinga Taco>C
$6.98
¡NUEVO! Free-range chicken tinga and crispy thigh served with escabeche, spicy habanero crema on two freshly pressed, red guajillo tortillas.
Flavors and textures components were balanced, however, the shredded chicken was dry, consider stewing/steeping shredded cooked meat using a ban marie method with flavoring broth to maintain moisture as well as reinforce flavor.
Blue Moon and Agaua
ATMOSPHERE = A
Clean, vibrant with a nice latin Caribbean fusion music selection.

Final words:
Tacombi has made its mark on the west loop corridor. The menu selections definitely took you back to that authentic mexico city street taco vibe. Service was great and atmosphere was clean and vibrant with nice music selections.
“Burritas”? Clever name, but these are not typical of a taco stand in Mexico. If anything, they should be offering tortas.
Drinks seemed fine, but bad food does not entice you to drink. A disappointing experience — I will not eat here again.
Fresh food, friendly staff, great service. We orders the Michelin star tacos and they were Delicious. We also ordered brisket tacos, shrimp tacos, corn in a cup, and guacamole & chips.
The food was So good. My favorite were the shrimp tacos and corn in a cup.
