The food and service are always great here, no question about that. However, when we told our server we were ready for the check, she directed us to pay using the QR code. After completing the payment, we noticed a platform fee added to the receipt.
I’m not sure if this is a new standard practice, but we were never informed about the additional charge for using the digital payment system. This should have been clearly communicated before processing the payment. Transparency matters.
If guests don’t want to pay the extra fee, they should be given the option to pay directly through the server instead of finding out afterward.

Tacombi has the absolute best tacos in the city. They are consistently flavorful, great size portions and full of protein. If nothing else – the Baja crispy fish is a must try! Alberto was super attentive and friendly.

Great tacos, friendly host, and very attentive service. The food is consistently good and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. I’ve been to this location and another near Columbus Circle, and in both cases the staff has been genuinely amiable. A solid, reliable spot.

It was an incredible experience; from the moment you arrive, you feel a truly Mexican atmosphere. For appetizers, I recommend the “corn esquites” and “guacamole con totopos”. The tacos and quesadillas are delicious, especially the “baja crispy fish”, “beef birria”, and “Sinaloa shrimp”. Another important point is the customer service; they greet you and serve you with great kindness and are very helpful. The waiter who served me was named Alberto, and he explained the menu to me in a simple and efficient way. By the way, the “volcán de pastor” is a new dish, and it’s also very delicious.
