Love this place. Everything is halal so we can eat Mexican food happily. The birria tacos, chicken bowl, tres leches and churros are yum. The interior is so bright and clean it makes anyone brighten up their mood. We keep coming back as a family to try something new every time.

Taco Zocalo is such a gem! Since they’ve opened, the food and service has been nothing but great. First timers should definitely try their birria tacos, rice and beans. If you’re not a taco person, or prefer something heartier, I’m a huge fan of the pulled chicken chimichanga. The house-made hot sauces are incredible as well. Definitely one of my favorite spots in the Falls Church area!

an enjoyable, flavorful and well priced tex-mex. I have the beef enchiladas, which was kind of sweet, unlike I’m used to but it worked. The gentleman who was behind the register was real nice, told me about the establishment and gave me good suggestions. I’ll definitely try them again.

First impressions are EVERYTHING, and they definitely met each standard. My mother is a huge germophobe so she doesn’t eat out often and she was very impressed with how clean the restaurant was, as was I. We were greeted with a smile and positive attitude which made us feel welcomed. I got a burrito and asked for guacamole, when I mentioned how it was missing he instantly made it right with a smile on his face and gave complementary desserts!! We were also checked on to see if we needed anything else and how we were enjoying our time. I’ve been to ‘high end’ restaurants where it all feels transactional but this was the opposite. Thank you to the team here, I will be coming back!

The best food! Andy at the Barcroft Plaza location (Falls Church) is great. He is fiendly, helpful, he keeps the restaurant clean and has great taste in music. My favorite tacos are the Beef Barbacoa but other greats are the Chicken Tinga, steak and the shrimp tacos are close seconds. They serve many other entrees and sides. Enjoy trying them all. You can’t go wrong at Tavo Zacalo.

I really enjoyed their fish taco and appreciated that it came with guacamole. That was a nice touch. These feel more like Americanized tacos, so don’t come here expecting anything super authentic. Aside from the fish and guac, everything else (carne asada & barbacoa) was just okay. This spot is more of a “I’m hungry and need something quick” place rather than somewhere I’d go out of my way for. I don’t see myself coming back, especially when one taco is around $5. In my opinion, there are better options nearby

Very convenient restaurant in the area, the service spectacular, every time I go as soon I order the food is ready in no time and that only means a lot for me, sometimes I like to try new stuff and the cashier Lisbeth knows very well the menu and every recommendation so far she has done it has nailed in me. I absolutely recommend this Taco Zocalo!

Ordered lunch today so many fresh ingredients. I’ll never go to Chipotle ever again. This is Méxican halal-never heard of it. Lots of savory flavor without a lot of salt in the salsa. A must try-pleasantly surprised.

Taco Zocalo is another great new spot in the Harris Teeter plaza near Annandale. The food is very flavorful and fresh. Our server was very helpful with menu recommendations. The interior is beautiful…love the mural. We dined in, but they also offer take out, which several people took advantage of while we were there. I will definitely come back. Thanks!!
