We were traveling from the Gulf Coast to Hollywood, Florida, and had to fuel up. We hit Taqueria La Mexicana because of their reviews. We thought it was a restaurant, but when we arrived it was a food truck. This wasn’t a big deal at all, but now it is listed as Food Truck. Maybe because they also do catering? Anyyywayyy, their food was AMAZING. We would plan a trip around going here again! Yes, it was that good! We sat at a picnic table, they had several. There are several food trucks at this intersection, so make sure you get to the right one! We tried the pastor, asada, chorizo, and tongue tacos, and they were all delicious. Sooo delicious! Served traditionally on corn tortillas with onion and cilantro with added grilled onion, which I never knew I needed. ♥️ The salsa verde is a must as well. My mouth is watering while I’m writing this review the day after we went! I ordered 2, and I should have ordered 3. They are a slightly smaller size. This isn’t a complaint, but a heads up to order more. Lol. The gals that helped us were super nice. My husband also had a pineapple drink that he really loved. Maybe we can stop on our way back home. Mmmmm.

I have only good things to say about this taco truck. Pork and chicken tacos are a dollar. You can get yourself 5 tacos and an aqua fresca for $10. You can’t beat that. I’m not ashamed to admit that I eat here at least once a week and everytime the tacos are perfect. Ditch Taco Bell and instead support your local community.
