I finally had time to stop at Taco Tequila Y Mas this past weekend. Being fairly new; i wanted to see and taste their menu. First I was impressed with their food quality, it is definitely one of the better mexican restaurants in Oakland county. But I was more impressed with their speed of service and their price point, putting their establishment in the top tier overall for the metro Detroit.

PLEASE READ I went to this place and I was shocked after reading some of the silly reviews that don’t seem to come from people that know what real Mexican food is, a person complaining for not having ground beef, other one saying that shrimp were raw (yes in aguachile that’s how shrimp goes), other one for having too little cheese on their Birria taco? and other group gave one star just because they didn’t split the check for 25 people really? Seemed like they were looking for a Tex Mex place.
Ok now my own review, I was happy to be welcomed with some chips and salsa on the house, and I ordered chilaquiles which were really tasty, portion was big so I was able to share it with one more person. The service was amazing and personable. The owners from what I know are always looking for ways to improve and have been on the restaurant business from a long time and it’s a family business. I would definitely give this place a try and I will be returning for sure.

Food was ok but not traditional Mexican made. Margaritas are served in a martini glass. Very small 4oz at best with lots of ice at $10 for well tequila and $12 for premium tequila. Better price and quality at places like Mr Miguel. Also no events like trivia or keno to draw an evening crowd.

I was unaware they were owned by Taco Tienda! It’s very pretty and trendy inside. Most importantly the service and food was amazing! The cocktails looked delicious and fairly priced and they also have beer. 10/10 recommend!

Would have loved to have given this place 5 stars but the food was so sadly mediocre. My shrimp verdes was raw and Conor’s tacos were dry. The drinks were good but expensive. Connie was amazing though. Super peppy and really engaging. The decor was cool also, very fun and a good crowd.

This restaurant is my absolute favorite; it has a warm and welcoming atmosphere and serves the best tacos in the area. I’ve explored various Mexican eateries, but I always find myself returning here. Recently, they’ve introduced some specials to the menu that cater to more international tastes, and they’ve also added a delightful sweetbread called “canchas.”

Absolutely incredible. The birria tacos were outstanding and made my mouth salivate. Jordin was the absolute bomb.com and made the experience 100x better. No joke when I say, this is the best Mexican restaurant I have ever attended in my LIFE. I was greeted with amazing chips and salsa, and ordered my food and within 10 minutes, maybe not even, it was delivered hot to my table with beautiful, instagram worthy presentation. Best restaurant experience I’ve ever had. I will be back!

Great authentic Mexican restaurant with beautiful and colorful atmosphere!! Food is delicious and the drinks both non-alcoholic and bar cocktails are perfect! Perfect for large parties as is spacious and has many spaces for large groups. They have Mexican pizza that You must try !!

I’m not really sure what all of the negative reviews are on about. We had a lovely experience and they were very kid friendly for our 1 year old. Quick, friendly service, drinks were on point and food was hot and delicious. Also, their prices are very reasonable considering the amount of food you get and how much some other places in neighboring towns charge.
