Taco Rock in Falls Church, VA, is a culinary gem! From the moment I stepped in, I was impressed by the vibrant atmosphere and the friendly staff, who were more than happy to guide me through their menu. The bar is a major highlight, boasting an impressive selection of beers on tap and bottles, as well as a variety of juices and sodas to quench any thirst.

The decor is eclectic and fun, with art guitars hanging from the ceiling adding a touch of rockstar flair. The tunes playing in the background perfectly complemented the lively atmosphere, making me feel like I was in for a treat.

I opted for the Gordito Style Burrito, and it was love at first bite! The burrito was loaded with tender beef, not tough or hard, creamy sour cream, crunchy lettuce, and melted jack cheese, all wrapped in a warm tortilla. But the real showstopper was the sizzling chipotle queso on top, it added a depth of flavor that took the dish to the next level. The paper on the food tray will get ruined by the queso, I recommend a plate so the paper won’t get in the way while you eat the burrito.

What really sets Taco Rock apart, though, is the staff’s passion for good food. They’re clearly knowledgeable about the menu and enthusiastic about sharing their recommendations. I could tell they genuinely care about serving high quality dishes that showcase fresh, flavorful ingredients.

The restaurant’s atmosphere is also worth raving about. The indoor seating area is cozy and inviting, while the outdoor space is perfect for warm days or nights spent with friends and family. The adirondack chairs and outdoor fireplace add a touch of warmth and charm, making it an ideal spot to linger over a meal or a drink.

I’m already planning my next visit to try more of their delicious offerings, like the street corn, Barbacoa Braised lamb tacos with chimichurri salsa, radish, onions, and cilantro, and the slow-cooked Birria beef. If you’re looking for a great spot to satisfy your cravings, Taco Rock is an absolute must try!

Had a great experience. Tried a variety of tacos including the grouper, shrimp, and Birria tacos. Purple tortillas are a jice touch. Flavors were legit. Loved all of them. Met the manager who provided great service. Staff quick and helpful.

Maybe it’s expectations, but we came here just looking for a quick Mexican fast-food style lunch, but ended up getting much more than we expected. Ordering was smooth, the selection was large, and the taste authentic. What really surprised us was the quality of the food, as it didn’t feel like fast food at all. The creamy cheese poured over the taco was the highlight, both looking and tasting fantastic, and even the chips and cauliflower tacos were flavorful and authentic. The atmosphere is a fun mix between indoor and outdoor dining, casual restaurant and bar, with sports playing on the screens. And to top it off, the quirky restroom sign for “aliens” added a bit of extra fun to the visit. Overall, Taco Rock truly rocked for us!

The tacos at this fast-food establishment were exceptional. I particularly enjoyed the birria, shrimp, and grouper tacos, all of which were delicious. The habanero sauce was also outstanding. Jason, the bartender, provided friendly and professional service, and our drinks were expertly prepared.

Mario the Chef is the man! Great customer service. The NEW Marisco Soup is outstanding. The outdoor patio Bar is a good to unwind specially in the non-winter months. Good vibes…

I had a mixed experience at Taco Rock. The food was mostly good—the corn was delicious, the mini tacos were flavorful, and I really enjoyed the fajitas. However, the empanadas didn’t taste great; they reminded me of carry-out food. The biggest disappointment was the “fresh juices”—the pineapple papaya juice tasted off, almost like sour fruit that had gone bad, and it had an unpleasant smell. I ended up getting a soda instead.

The atmosphere was cool at first, but I felt very uncomfortable when I noticed demonic scenes playing on the screen. That was a major turn-off for me. On a positive note, the staff was friendly, which I appreciated.

Overall, while some of the food was enjoyable, the experience was dampened by the drinks and the unsettling visuals in the restaurant.

From the inviting atmosphere to the vibrant decor, everything was perfect. The menu had a great selection of tacos, each with a unique flavor profile that I highly recommend trying.

The Birria, Puff Chips, and Street corn were absolutely delicious, making my taste buds dance with joy.

We stumbled upon Taco Rock one day while shopping and went for lunch. About 5 hours later we went back for dinner! If that doesn’t tell you how great this place is, I don’t know what will.
The atmosphere is great! Everything from ’80s videos to today’s, fun to watch along with several TVs. Usually with sports. The music’s not too loud that you can’t have a conversation.
The menu is actually quite expansive, more than just tacos.. They have everything from basic tacos to more complex and fusion type tacos along with tortas, quesadillas, and even a taco salad bowl. And The joy of this place is you can eat a few tacos and a soda for less than 10 bucks. You can also go way beyond that with one of their appetizers like nachos, taco pizza, empanadas and more. The tortas and sandwiches are quite good but run a little expensive. I’ve yet to try the fajitas but see them often and people seem to enjoy them. Other than that, I think we’ve had everything on the menu!
I’m at the Falls Church location weekly, and you actually start to see a lot of the same crowd there. It’s not unusual to see families there with the parents on the bar side and the kids on the restaurant side. As far as the bar, it seems quite busy, but I’ve yet to really connect with a bartender there. Some are friendlier than others.
The rest of the staff, however, are absolutely amazing. Everyone from the cooking crew who smiles and laughs but is 100% professional to the friendly and fast expediters to Mario, the master of Quality Control ensuring your leal is not only accurate but beautiful to look at, he is rhe glue that keeps the whole place together.
You can’t go wrong with Taco Rock!
