The food IS good. Taco P is pretty reliable in taste. I can’t fault them too heavily considering it’s the holidays but I do wish I got what I ordered and waited for. Only regular chicken instead on a bed of more onions and a random tortilla underneath all that (soggy by opening it at home), and a mystery fidello side which I guess is appreciated as a bonus but I’d give that up if I got beef fajita instead.
Again, it tastes good so my only complaint is the missing Beef, the slightly odd presentation, and confused on the fidello. I know they’re carrying Stone Oak and Evans on their back during the holidays being open but I didn’t wanna wait and put my family and the workers into doing all that wait again.

I really want to love Taco Palenque. However, it seems like every single time I go, something ends up wrong. This time I ordered 4 bacon egg and cheese tacos and received 4 BEAN and cheese tacos. It’s really annoying that this keeps happening considering how expensive the food is.

this is the second time this has happened to me and my coworker at this same location. the first time i let it slide because you know sometimes stuff happens but today really did it for me. we work in food ourselves and we just are in disbelief that this happened to us again. we ordered burritos … not tacos. waste of money. whoever this is whether they worked overnight or morning shift needs to do better. very sad because we love this place we order every saturday morning for our lunch.

By FAR the worse Taco Palenque in San Antonio. Do NOT come here if you are wanting quality food! I stopped by their drive thru early one morning and ordered a few breakfast tacos, I literally received grease in a bag. My tacos were soaked in grease. Clearly the cook was bothered by having to do his JOB so he decided to cook the eggs for my tacos on a filthy grease laden grill. Not sure what was worse, the food or the service. Stay away from this place!

While visiting San Antonio, I had my first experience at Taco Palenque Evans & 281, and it did not disappoint!
I started with their bistec tacos, and they were packed with flavor—tender, well-seasoned steak wrapped in warm tortillas, making for a simple yet satisfying bite. I also tried an order of crispy tacos with ground beef, which had just the right crunch and a well-seasoned filling that hit the spot.
One thing that stood out was their green salsa—fresh, flavorful, and the perfect addition to every bite.
Overall, the food was delicious, and I’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu. If you’re in the area and craving some quality tacos, Taco Palenque is worth a visit.

THREE times now I have ordered ( and paid for) an extra large Charro Beans only to get home and find they have given me refrided beans. Happening too often to be a mistake since both receipts clearly state Charro Beans. Extremely disappointing and aggravating!!!! Guess the only answere is to hold up the takeout line while I check!!

The selection of salsas was great and free chips and salsa are ALWAYS WELCOME!

While it was only my first visit, I was very satisfied and as a result will definitely be coming back again to try more menu options.
One thing I absolutely don’t like is self service kiosks, but thankfully it wasn’t mandatory. I absolutely refuse to use self service kiosks as they cause more unemployment in my community and I support my community and companies who do as well.
Thanks for all the employees who sacrificed New Years day to serve others great Mexican food.

We just got home Nov 24, 25
The food is delicious as always. Problem is that we got home and we did not get our complete order. There was only one car in front of us, made us park and waited about 10 minutes. 2 bean & cheese tacos were missing. Next time I’m going to go through my bag before getting home in the parking lot. We live far from location, so getting home & not getting out full order is not ok. I’m older and not going to drive all the way back. But again. Food was great. Just wish the had someone double checking that everything is there. Money is tight right now and we lost some today.
