I think it’s really outrageous that your gallon of tea is $9 now. And it might be worth it if the flavor was consistent. If you people have been doing this for decades why can you not make consistently good tea… There was even a time where I bought 2 gallons and I got home and they had no sugar at all so I took them back and they tasted them.. And the worker tried to give attitude and say that I just needed to add sugar… No I didn’t because that was your job that is the entire purpose of going there and paying somebody else to make it properly so that I don’t have to be measuring sugar and mixing. In that case I would just make my own tea at home which is what I’m going to do from now on if I ever drink tea again…. And then the females at the window are not exactly friendly…. They look all offended because they expect the tip… If she would have told me about the price increase on the tea would not have even bought it…. And the reason I’m complaining now is because it doesn’t taste good… If it tasted good the way it normally should or does i would just enjoy the tea… But now i paid almost $20 for almost 2 gallons of tea that taste crappy…. How can you be so inconsistent on something that your company has been doing for decades … And it sucks because it’s the end of an era I’ve been going to Taco Ole since I was a teenager with my parents about 30 years ago. And another thing that sucks is when you order a poquito de todo plate, and i guess some items are taken from the buffet or something because some of the food will be fresh and the other food items will be burnt out and dry. Just about every time I’ve gotten that plate that taco is always burned or kind of dried out. I feel like the standards for your restaurants should be better than this. I had not gone to the Sharyland location in months because of the hours closing so early and I’m pretty sure I will not be back. The quality of the food and tea is just not consistent and good.

I hope you can take these things into consideration and encourage your workers to try to do a good job every time with whatever they make or do

Came here upon the recommendation of my friend. I told they I was craving great enchiladas and they told me to come here. They were by far the best enchiladas I’ve tried in the entire valley. They were very good as well as the came giusda. The flour tortillias were equally good. My sweet tea was spot on delicious. The service was fantastic. Overall, we had a great visit here, and we’ll definitely be back.

Breakfast is a hit or miss.
Lunch buffet has a decent variety to choose from.
Fajitas are good. I’ve had the botana platter.
Staff is friendly. They juggle with providing adequate service when they get too busy with customers.

The breakfast here was very tasty, we didn’t try the buffet we ordered from the Menu. The Huevos Rancheros were very tasty, for $6.99 you get 2 eggs, refried beans, potatoes and bacon.

The eggs were almost cooked over medium (they needed a little more cooking), the salsa for the eggs was very tasty, the potatoes were cooked to order and they were very crispy and tasty, the refried beans were good & finally the bacon was okay, I much preferred the sausage patties from the other plate but the bacon wasn’t bad it was just a bit cold.

Overall I would highly recommend their breakfast plates here, the buffet also looks decent I will come here again to give it a try.

A friend and I went to Taco Ole for Lunch. Located on the South side of Old 83, two blocks east of Glasscock. I noticed a buffet option was available once I was seated. I wasn’t all you can eat hungry so I chose to order from the menu. I already knew what I wanted without looking at the menu. My friend ordered a fajita Taco only, I ordered crispy beef tacos. We both ordered unsweet tea with lemon. Some of the best tea and served in a jumbo glass.
I also ordered for later a “Tejano Plate” basically 2 Fajita Tacos with fries, to go for my son at home. My food arrived first, I asked my friend if he didn’t mind me digging in, he was cool with it. My crispy tacos weren’t crispy but rather they were chewy from not being fried long enough. The ground beef I could tell had already been in the kitchen steam table for some time. I was disappointed with the old looking tomatoes. Also, I would have liked more shredded cheese instead of the few strands of soft American cheese that was used. The refried beans were pretty good and the rice was done perfectly. My friends Fajitas were tender but a little dry. Service was great and an overall good experience. Will I be going back, sure, but probably for breakfast.

Got there at 10:40 AM was coming for lunch but they still had the breakfast buffet set up, food was cold and not much to choose from, but I was hungry so I went ahead and stayed, maybe I would have enjoyed a warm breakfast if I would’ve gotten there earlier (my bad ) lunch buffet starts at 11:00 AM now i know better for next time

Amazing breakfast buffet! Lorena was excellent and everyone else was just as friendly and attentive. The food was fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. My sons absolutely loved it — great family spot for breakfast.

This place is not big and fancy, but the food and staff are absolutely fantastic. Our waitress was very friendly and cheerful and even suggested what dish she felt would be to our liking. She hit a home run as far as I’m concerned. When I’m in town, this place will be my first stop. Prices are extremely reasonable.

My two favorite dishes are the Chalupas plate, or the cheese enchiladas plate. They make the enchilada sauce from scratch and use yellow cheese, traditional Tex-Mex style. They offer a lunch buffet. Always check the location(s) hours, the restaurant on Old 83 closes early at 3PM.

Food used to be delicious here, but this past week they do not have sanitary standards to the point that we found small roaches in our food. My sister found one in her pancakes and I found another one in my scrambled eggs. We were so disgusted and just left. Don’t know what is happening but this place is going down the hill. The city should audit them because that was plain disgusting.
