Have always heard a lot of great things abt this place. Decided to try it out. Ordered to go. Flauta plate and a Mexican plate. Both were very disappointing. The flautas are overcooked. 0 effort seems to have been placed in making them. The first person who is was greeted by had a decent disposition. The one who brought me my order was on the phone, and basically brushed me off.

Incredible service – very attentive and friendly. The food was some of the best we’ve had in the valley. Highly recommend the enchiladas and the beef fajita meat. Staff was wonderful and very hospitable. Steve, the owner, was by several times to check on us. Will definitely be back. A must try!

I’m really disappointed with how much the food quality at Taco Ole has declined since last year. My sister ordered a botana for one, and it was shockingly small for the $21.99 price. It only came with a few pieces of overly salty chicken and some old, bland fajitas. It definitely did not feel worth the money.
My enchiladas weren’t good either. The tortillas had a strange texture and taste, the enchilada sauce was extremely salty, and the rice was dry and chewy, like it had been sitting out for a long time. The only thing that was decent was the nachos, but that’s hard to get wrong since it’s just cheese and chips.
It’s really sad because this place used to be so good, and I used to enjoy coming here.

Came back to eat brought my mother from this last time it adds up the total was for 3 people 2 buffets and one regular platter With 2 drinks and 1 reg water total was $78.00 it is preposterous but thats what it is. Come and think of it it is very pricey because some food you can get at a cafeteria all u can eat and you won’t spend that much so yeah I know it it is a bit different but come on now. Think about it. Anyways I ordered the nachos, and wow, they were so stale they weren’t even crunchy yea they were bad. So they took them back and replaced them with another item. That was my only thing. There was no issue replacing just the dish it was not up to par as if chips were left open and just got staled.
This is a pretty good restraunt if you have never been. I recommend that you go. BUT, for the buffet, it’s a bit pricey, but I feel it is a fair price because of all the meat choices you get. We all know ribs, sausage, moiejas, etc. It’s pricey, but for $22.50, it’s well worth it. Now, they do have other choices off their menu. You don’t have to have a buffet. Now, if you’re a carnivore and a big appetite, then by all means, get the buffet. You will get your moneys worth, and the food is quite tasty. I have yet to go back and just order from the menu.

There’s an older lady in the drive through who is ridiculously rude will make sure to bring out the ticket so you can sign the tip and then mess up all your order and give terrible service forgot all of our food after waiting there an hour and gave us a wrong order still had to go back for the correct order. Business was not busy at the time. In stead of correcting the situation she was arguing terrible terrible.

I was not impressed by the buffet food here, there was a decent amount of choices but the meats were a disappointment, most meats were over cooked making them dry and crunchy.
The enchiladas did taste okay and so was the refried beans they had a good taste.
The tortillas were good both flour and corn tortillas homemade.
The servers were nice and attentive I did like how kind my server was.
Overall I don’t see my self returning here for lunch , perhaps their breakfast options are better and I’ll give that a try.

Botana is not the same it use to be. We ordered one for 4 people, paid $70 and it looked like it was for 2. Hardly any meat, cheese, beans, chips. Not many flour tortillas and the lemonade was super hot, like if it was boiled.

The ABSOLUTE BEST dining experience in the RGV! Our first time here and the service was top notch…from our knowledgeable waitress to the manager AND owner Your food was so tasteful, every bite of enchiladas was sooooo good! My husband also raved about your great sweet tea! We had the Deluxe Mexican plate and a Regular Mexican Plate – highly recommend! We might be in Weslaco but we’re coming back to see you in Mission!
