Food is exactly how your thinking it is. Just better! Atmosphere is welcoming and for looking like it’s small there is good amount of seats. Service top notch. Highly recommend. Thank you for a delicious and wonderful experience.

I was in this area and craving a breakfast burrito and decided to check this place out (prices looked good) and I got a classic, a potato, egg and chorizo burrito. Price, before Tax, was around $10.30 for all the breakfast burritos so around $11.50 after tax and when I paid, nothing popped up for a tip so that it what I paid (no cash on me).

It was a good-sized breakfast burrito (could easily be two meals), and best of all, very good salsa. When I asked for Salsa, they gave me a red and green one and while the green was good the red salsa was smoky and spicy (wonderful) – tastes like the put chipotle peppers in it. I also found that the potatoes were not fried but cooked and chopped up (which I like) and it was not overly greasy and held up well when I ate it (about 2 hours after I bought it).

The person at the counter was friendly and I felt welcome and while a basic establishment it was very clean and had some great artwork on the walls and some not too loud music. I thought this was a very tasty breakfast burrito and good value for the money as, like I said, it could easily be two meals – definitely a place I put in my favorites for my Tempe food list.

What a funky spot. It’s your fairly standard walk up to the counter style Mexican restaurant, but unlike most others, these guys serve beer and margaritas, and even have a happy hour!

The walls are adorned with Picasso-esque takes on religious artwork, which left me feeling a little uncertain if they were honoring or mocking religion. Anyway….

So, dear reader, you must know that one of my life’s missions is to find the best chimichanga in the world. I always order a bean and cheese chimi, partly because I want to keep the comparisons equal, but also because most places pack a chimi with meat and only meat, and that’s just too much, you know?

So I order it to go. The service is slow. The dining room is packed with people who also haven’t gotten their food. Seeing this, I decide to order a beer to sip on while I wait. They gave me a lime, which was great!

I finally get my chimi and take it back to work. The fork they supplied me with was too weak to handle the job, but the knife did just fine. I was immediately disappointed by the lack of pico de gallo. Come on guys, gimme that good stuff! It looked pretty boring with just the guac and sour cream. It tasted equally boring.

The beans were fine, not spectacular, and it could’ve used more cheese. On my universal 13 point scale of chimichanga deliciousness, Taco Nazo’s chimi comes in at a 7. Not great. I mean, it wasn’t bad, but then again I was starving. The tortilla was a bit chewier than it should’ve been; I want more crunch. My fork probably would’ve survived better if the chimi was more crispy and easier to cut through.

So, there you have it. Taco Nazo does NOT serve the best chimichanga in the world. Alas, the search continues.

As soon as we walked in, the atmosphere was amazing, nicely decorated and extremely clean. We were greeted with a smile by Vicky who was very pleasant and helpful with our menu choices. We ordered the chimichanga with chicken, cheese, and beans which was no less than amazing, I wanted to kiss the cook. The portions were very large and very reasonably priced with a vast menu of amazing choices. Ooh, and don’t forget desert. I ordered the carrot cake, and it was so moist, it melted in my mouth. I’m going to end this post now because I’m making myself hungry 🙂

This place is incredible. They are very friendly and the food is sooooo good! Yesterday was my first time, and the bacon breakfast burrito is amazing.

Today, I got two chicken and two carnitas tacos for a little over 6 bucks, making tacos about $1.50 on Tuesday. So far, evn regular pirces seem great. I can see myself eating here 4-5 meals a week now that I know.
