The King burrito was big enough to split between the both of us.
Friendly and quick service aswell.
What made it more frustrating was that everyone at our table who ordered asada received the same meat, so it clearly wasn’t just my plate. I also speak Spanish and overheard staff acknowledge that the meats taste different, when the server went to speak to the chef, which confirmed I wasn’t imagining things. I almost never send food back, but being dismissed and made to feel embarrassed for pointing out a clear mistake really ruined the experience. I’ve enjoyed their steak tacos in the past, but unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be returning.
Let’s start with the audacity. I’d give no stars if possible! À la carte pricing so bad it feels personal. Charging extra for tortilla chips that every self-respecting Mexican restaurant hands out like oxygen? C’MON. That’s not “upscale,” that’s nickel-and-diming with a side of delusion.
Chips aside (because apparently they’re a luxury item now), the chicken burrito was a culinary crime. Dry. Lifeless. Zero seasoning. I’ve had more flavor from unbuttered toast. My stomach started griping before I even finished eating, which is never a good sign unless you’re trying to speed-run food poisoning.
When I calmly expressed disappointment about the chip situation, the response wasn’t professionalism—it was open conversation in Spanish followed by laughter, while my mother and I were still sitting right there. Not subtle. Not respectful. Not okay. If you’re going to mock customers, at least wait until they leave the building. Basic decency is free—unlike the chips.
Do not eat here unless you enjoy:
Overpaying for dry, nasty food
Being treated like an inconvenience
Watching staff laugh about you in real time
I understand greed. I don’t understand how you mess up a burrito, one of the simplest items on the planet. This place managed to do both.
Hard pass. Save your money, your stomach, and your dignity.
The tortillas were dry, and both the beef and chicken were flavorless and dry as well. The salsas had no flavor at all no spice, no character.
The tamarind juice tasted mostly like water, with very little tamarind flavor.
We understand that places can have an off day, but unfortunately nothing stood out in a positive way. Overall, the food was truly a 1/10. Hopefully the quality improves, because the concept has potential, but the execution was lacking.
