Wanted to try this place since it seemed pretty popular. However was pretty disappointed with the food. Was craving tacos but they only have one option and it is a hard shell taco. The jumbo burrito was also not very appetizing and I don’t think it even had any meat inside. The food was not satisfying at all. The staff are very friendly and keep the place clean.

For some, I’m sure the nostalgia keeps them coming back. For me, it was the first time and it was pretty much what I expected. A mom and pop Del Taco, with higher prices but slightly better flavors. The taco is definitely the standout as it’s stuffed with meat and cheese. The combo burrito was mid. Beans, meat and cheese. Nothing really special. I guess they don’t have their taco sauce anymore, so Heinz mild is all you get. I think a really good sauce would make this place stand out more, but Del scorcho is still the best sauce in the biz, so I guess I’ll be going to Del Taco when I need my gringo taco fix. Glad I tried it and not mad that I did. Really would go back for their tacos if they only had better sauce. Service was fast and friendly, so that’s definitely a plus.

Tried the combo burrito and it was good! This not your traditional Mexican restaurant so don’t expect asada or carnitas. This is basically Taco Bell but much higher quality of food. I just tried the jumbo burrito and it was HuGe and well loaded with beans, ground meat and cheese. It also had a large amount of whole slice tomatoes and lettuce. Burrito was filling and delicious. Coming back next time to try the tacos.

I love this place. Hard shell takos are classic. Sad that there’s no more taco Lita sauce. Another victim of the pandemic. The building is a jewel/ time capsule and that tiles work is so nice. Mid century modern Mavens will love meeting here … Definitely worth visiting. Don’t forget the bean cup

Since 1967, this place is excellent! I liked the tacos. I got the Tuesday special with 3 tacos and a soda for $9 and change. Get the jalapeno salsa!
The service is fast and super friendly! If I lived in the area, I’d be a regular! Huge parking lot too!

We Love Taco Lita! They’re not your authentic type of Taco’s if that’s what you’re looking for but they are more like a taco bell or Dell Taco type, with a lot more stuff; meat, lettuce tomato & especially heavy on the cheese .
Still they are a very delicious alternative. Like is said before, we love them…

Their ambiance is a refreshing back to the future (50’s) feel. My wife and I jokingly call it “back to the future, twilight zone.” Lol'” We definitely recommend it. We always enjoy our visit there.

Nostalgia is what comes to mind when entering Taco Lita. Is it authentic Mexican food no! Is it supposed to be no!. What it is a small mom and pop place that hasn’t changed ever, and what they do they do well. I had the taco which was crunchy and filled with ground beef, cheese, lettuce and a slice of tomatoe. Also I had a meat and cheese burrito which was generously stuffed with ground beef and cheese, very simple but simply delicious. Worth a shot in my opinion if I even drive past Duarte I will go out of my way to stop by.

I’ve been wanting to try Taco Lita for awhile now and I finally gave it a shot! It definitely did not disappoint! Everyone that works is there is incredibly nice and has amazing customer service! The Tacos were delicious. We got the crunchy taco combo, 3 tacos and a drink for $8.99. The inside is very cool and retro. This place has been there since 1967 and still going strong. We’ll definitely be back!

I visited Taco Lita. I was disappointed. The taco shell was stale. The combo burrito was made up of canned beans that lacked flavor meat and cheese. The place was dirty and people came in and out to order. They don’t have the taco lita packets anymore. They give you packs of Heinz taco sauce. I went there before the pandemic and I thought it was better back then. So I revisited it after work. I felt sick after. Like what the heck did I eat?? I rather go to Pepe’s and have real yummy Mexican food!
