if you’re anywhere from South Florida, Southern California, or even Central Texas, come here!!! You won’t be disappointed! I’ve lived in NOVA for about two months now, and my search ended here for authentic, flavorful Mexican tacos! The tacos are soooo goooooood! and they have SOOOO MANY meat options!! The ladies are super nice!!! It’s a vibe and worth the drive!!

Authentic Latino meals available here. Generous portions of some of the best pork belly I’ve had. So I tried three different kinds, carnitas and Barbacoa also. I couldn’t say one was better than the other. There wasn’t anything left in the container. Double rapped with soft corn.

The food is fine, just a little small. The staff doesn’t really communicate with you or understand you and I think there’s a language barrier so not really their fault but just something to note. The atmosphere is so bad though. It’s a tiny convenience store with no tables and barely enough space to stand and order. You have to hope the bench outside is available.

I’ve been coming to this little mercado since I was a little girl, and it’s honestly so much more than just a store it’s a piece of our homeland right here in the community. Every time I walk through the doors, it feels like stepping back into our country. The smells, the music, the friendly faces it’s comfort in every sense of the word.
You can find a little bit of everything here: from the traditional medicines and remedies from our homeland to delicious food. It’s the kind of place where you stop in for one thing and end up staying to chat and share a laugh.
What makes this store even more special is the heart behind it. When my uncle was going through a kidney transplant due to lupus, the owners helped raise money for his transplant. That kind of kindness and generosity is something I’ll never forget it showed how much they truly care about the people who walk through their doors.
They treat everyone like family. I honestly can’t recommend it enough. It’s a treasure in our community, and I’m so grateful for everything they do.

As someone who grew up in southern California, these tacos were a direct reminder of what I had there. I would wholeheartedly say that these are the best tacos inside the reston-tyson-chantilly-fairfax square (have not tried tacos outside this area). Very authentic and would highly recommend!

If you are looking for authentic homemade tacos from your Spanish grandmother come here. Looking from outside in you would judge incorrectly from how it looks from the outside. But rest assure that this place has the best tacos better than Manassas which has a lot of Spanish tacos. You must try the chicharrón tacos my favorite! Crunchy, fresh and super delicious. Every time I eat them from here I feel like I am actually in a Spanish country for example like Mexico.

GREAT authentic tacos!! They don’t skimp on the fillings and the price is right. Was really surprised at the deliciousness of the pork belly. You can get it by the pound or in a taco. They have the outside crunch and taste of pork skins, with a soft, meaty center. I LOVE their version.

Super cool taco joint located in the back of a Latino Mini Market. I love all the different tacos they have here and it reminds me exactly of the ones I’ve eaten on the streets of Mexico City and Oaxaca 🙂
All tacos come with two corn tortillas and are packed with meat. I’ve gotten the Al Pastor and Chorizo and both are extremely good and everything comes out piping hot.
The tacos come with a lil side of pico de gallo, one salsa verde, one salsa rojo, a lime & and some cucumbers/radish for garnish/crunch and to help cut through the fattiness/richness of the meat! Both salsas are very tasty but the salsa rojo is volcanic hot (you’ve been warned!!)
The lady at the cash register is incredibly nice and she recommended I get the carnitas (her favorite), which I will get next time!, along with a lamb taco.
Please look at all of the 26 reviews and notice that they are all 5-stars, except for literally just 2 people. This place should have a 5-star overall rating.
If you want some authentic tacos at a great price ($3 a pop) at a no frills place – Tacos Lagos is the spot!!!
