We’ve loved Taco Johns since we moved to Reno 18 years ago. Grew up in the Midwest and it always reminds us of home. Easily one of the best fast food places around! We’ll miss it!

I’m gonna miss the place. They are closing for good in 3 days. My fiancé showed me this place when I moved here and we have come here pretty regularly.
Their Potato Olés are second to none, then paired with the nacho cheese sauce? Whoa. A decadent potato experience.
Everything tastes fresh, and is made to order. The bean taco is crazy good, as is the bean burrito with their hot and mild sauces.

I need to say, I asked about the scrambler and breakfast burrito and what was in it and the guy taking my order went silent and I said hello hi can you please tell me what’s in the scrambler so he tells me everything but the meat I asked him if there was meat he said yes I asked him what kind he said I don’t know, I said can you please ask, that covered about four minutes. And I’ve been waiting in line for 15 minutes now and there were two cars ahead of me. I’m pretty sure that their service reflects this kind of situation. I’m super Duper disappointed.

I don’t know why there is only 1 taco John’s while there are a dozen taco bells. This place is way better. I only eat taco bell once and a while just to see if it still sucks or if they somehow started making real food.
Taco John’s is always fresh and delicious. so is the salsa, you just have to ask for it, try the green sauce. And ask for no salt on the tater tots because the cheese sauce is already salty

Being from South Dakota, TJs is one of life’s normal everyday things. Having moved to Las Vegas in 2020, we don’t get TJs unless we’re in Utah, or back home. So happy when I learned that Reno has one.
Even more happy that we stopped in. This TJ’s straight rocked it. Our food looked more like the menu pics than ever, and tasted fantastic. I had the Super Potato Olè’s and a Beef Meat and Potato burrito. Both awesome.
Loved it so much, we went back for breakfast the next morning. Again, nothing but awesome. Shout out to the folks that run this TJ’s, and the folks that work there. Best TJ’s I’ve had in a long long time. We will probably go back one more time before we head back to Vegas.

Taco John’s has the best tacos around, beating out Taco Bell and Del Taco in my personal opinion. My only wish is that they would come to South Florida where I call home. For now, I will continue to patronize them whenever I am in Reno. I can’t wait to dine there again during my next travel dates.
