If you ever find yourself in Lamar, be sure to stop by Taco John’s for a delicious meal that won’t break the bank. Despite its remote location, this fast food joint is a hidden gem that’s definitely worth a visit.

As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted by friendly staff who are always ready to take your order and answer any questions you might have. The menu is filled with classic Mexican dishes that are sure to satisfy any cravings you may have.

One of the standout dishes on the menu is the Potato Olés, which are crispy tater tots topped with signature seasoning and served with a side of cheese sauce. They’re addictive and just the right amount of spicy.

The tacos are another must-try. They come in a variety of flavors and can be customized to your liking with different meats, toppings, and sauces. The shells are crispy and the portions are generous, making it a great value for the price.

Overall, Taco John’s in Lamar is a great spot for a quick and satisfying meal. The food is always fresh, the staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. If you’re in the area, be sure to check it out!

Excellent experience all around!

I hadn’t eaten at taco John’s for years, but decided to give it another try once I heard about the new management, and I was very pleased!

You can tell that Kati has poured her heart in to this place and is really turning things around!! My food has been delicious both times, and the staff members I worked with were SO friendly!

I have lived in Lamar most of my life and have seen a few different managers run this place. Katie and her staff do amazing, she has turned it around. Her staff are very polite and professional. Not to mention the food is great also. She knows what I can and can’t have. Which makes you know she learn her customers and values them. Keep up the great work team. See you soon.

The last 3 times I ate at Taco John’s it’s been terrible service. Today I went through the drive through and got the wrong order. I called and I was only able to leave a voicemail so I left one. I got a call back a few hours later to have the manager Katie call me without an apology and I’m an aggressive tone explain to me how they were so busy today and defend why I got the wrong order. I told her I wanted a refund and she wanted to give me a credit. I told her I didn’t want to go back because the service is always poor and she told me I’m the only person that feels that way. She never provided a resolution over the phone since I’m not willing to go back in to get a refund. She never even apologized. I should not have been yelled at by the manager for them getting my order wrong.

If I could give a 0 star I absolutely would. Ordered food and neither of the burritos were correct and the kids quesdillia was hard as a rock. The inside was disgusting. The highchair was either sticky or left full of food. The restaurant also smelled moist. The guy at the register claimed they cleaned all day yesterday. Hard to believe. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

We normally rate TJs with 5 stars because it is our favorite fast food Mexican restaurant and we compare them to other fast food places; we can only enjoy them when we travel. I’m comparing this store to other TJs we’ve encountered on our travels. It was 11;30 on a Saturday so at the beginning of lunchtime. The dining room smelled so bad we decided to get our order to go (that should’ve been our first clue). When we got to our food the Potato Oles were lukewarm at best with not much seasoning and soggy as if they had sat there for a while. We ended up throwing them out when usually we get a second cup for the road. We also got tacos and our meat wasn’t very hot and again, it lacked the TJs flavor we enjoy. Wished we’d waited for the next one down the road. In a positive note the two gentlemen working were both friendly.

I see a manager who’s trying her best to find good help and that’s very far in between and you can’t control how others act when you are not there. She is trying her best to pull the business up from the ground and start over. Food has been great and if something wasn’t just right Katie fixed it for us. I see a manager busting but to change and a trying crew.

Food was ok. Took forever to get our order. I wanted ice tea but they were out. The cashier said she would check how long it would take to make some and get back to me. She never did. The cashier with red streaks in her hair couldn’t have cared less about taking care of folks.

Taco John’s should get zero stars. Took forever to order in the drive through. We got 2 tacos, 1 grilled steak burrito, large oles, cup of nacho cheese, and 2 large drinks. It cost $32.10.

Got here at 11:10, got my order in at 11:14, still standing here waiting for food at 11:40. Seems like the 2 guys working were both new and the manager was on break. We were here waiting so long that the manager came back and instead of helping with anything she just ran to the back. And on top of all that, the order was completely wrong. Like seriously just close if you can’t run the place
