I love Taco Johns! I used to go to the Iowa store on Kimberly to get my fix. Then they built the one in East Moline!

I have to edit this old review to include my most recent experience. I always thought that posts like this were fake but now it has happened to me. I ended up with a rivet from (I assume) the fryer basket in my potatoes. It’s pretty distinct looking. I contacted corporate and got no response so now I’m posting here.

We go go taco John’s regularly, I went today and when I got home I realized half my order was missing, I called and I’m guessing the manager or owner called me back and he offered to deliver us a whole new order and he was very nice, I definitely was mad at first but he made it right and I will still continue to go to taco John’s. Their management was really great today and we didn’t even have to go back out in the snow to get the rest of our food!

The food and service and this location had a lot to be desired! The attendant was rude. They got our order wrong. They overcharged us. They did not include sauce or napkins in our bag. The tacos had very little ingredients included in the shell. It is not a location we will be suggesting or returning to.

This is now Enzo’s Chicken. I haven’t tried it yet. I will miss the breakfast burritos from TJ.

Typically I wouldn’t write a rather poor review on this particular location, because they’re much better than the one just 20 minutes away in Davenport, IA off Kimberly Rd. But I must say it’s sad when the customer has to not only clean the yucky and filthy toilet bowl themselves, but also to add insult to injury.. I had to go seek out toilet paper. Mind you they were not busy at this time. They serve great fresh and hot food 9/10 times at this particular location, but lacking in the care for cleanliness in the Men’s restroom. On a side note, I came in here one day when there was a corporate rep. From taco Johns speaking the the GM for this store and he had mentioned that they “look” at every review. Now how true is this statement? Well I don’t have an answer.. but if you do read this, please don’t tear into them about there food and customer service as they do a great job on that front, they’re only lacking on cleanliness. Thanks.

Worst Taco John’s experience that I have ever had. Being from Wyoming, I grew up on the wonderful experience of dining at a Taco John’s. This visit was nothing more than a waste of time and money. First off. The owner, I believe was running the drive thru. He missed part of my order, so I went inside to get the items. They were made quickly but when I tasted them, they were awful. just like the Chicken burrito that had 3 small pieces of chicken in it buried under a mix of refried beans and beef mixture. The Steak crunch burrito didn’t have any potato oles but again the bean and meat mixture. The 3 orders of potato oles were ice cold. All in all a waste of $30. I tried calling the store and the first attempt, no one answered and the next 2 times I was hung up on after asking to speak to a manager or the owner. I hope that someone from the franchise will see this and take the name off the building because this store doesn’t deserve to have the name on it

I went to the drive up an ordered a six pack and a pound (large sized) The lady asked me if I wanted any dipping sauce. I assumed dipping sauce was nacho cheeses or something like that. So I said no. When I got to the pickup window, the lady took my money and went to give me my change. Most places the cashier lets you see them put the coins on top of the bills. They used to give you the change first because they were counting the change into your hands. With computer cash registers all you have to do is count what the register says to give out. Anyway, my car is low and the window is high so I couldn’t see the coins were already on the bills. I took the bills and as I brought them in the coins fell off the bills. I know 80 cents wont buy much these days but I don’t drive down the highway throwing money out the windows either. Since she didn’t ask if a wanted hot sauce I assumed it was in the bag. You guessed it no hot sauce. I don’t know if that was in the dipping sauce she talked about on the other side. Was ketchup for the potato ole’s also in the dipping sauce. All in all it was a very frustrating visit. My wife had suggested Taco Bell, I wish I had granted her wish.

I came through drive-through and ordered two tacos plain, and a few other things. She couldn’t hear me on the speaker and asked me to repeat and pull around. When I got my order I was missing my potatoes. Two women came up to the window, ask to see my receipt (like to PROVE I paid for them) and I had time to check my tacos, they had all the toppings. I told them that my tacos were supposed to be plain – and the woman stared at me blankly and said my receipt says they are regular. No “I’m sorry”, no smile, literally paid for food my kid will not eat! I told her I will have to scrape these off… they offered no restitution I’ve never felt so attacked by two window fast food people in my life. I’ll never go here again. Ruined my night.

Walked in was going to order a combo meal for myself and my husband. 4 guys working but never once acknowledged us at the counter at all. One in fact kept his back to us. Stood there for 10 minutes and nothing! We will not be back. Shame on your customer service skills.

I did door dash & I am In love with Taco John’s spicy but not to spicy the way Mexican food should be Spicy good I was sure that I’d be a fan but I like here a whole lot better than bell Taco bell is good but it is ordinary olain plus they took away the Taco salad so that is a big no no in my book cause if Taco John’s has Taco salad then the next time I do Mexican it will be through them
