I had such high hopes for this place. I doordash on the weekends for extra money and I’m always getting orders for this place. I stopped in for the taco salad and for one if I just wanted lettuce I could have made that myself at home. It had hardly no meat maybe a tablespoon full for the whole salad. The beef didn’t even taste like taco meat or like it was even seasoned. Taco Bell is way better. I saw another review on here where Cody said he gave his dasher 1 star because his order was wrong. People should take that up with the restaurant. Our job is to deliver the food. Not put our fingers on it and check it plus restaurant tape or staple the bags shut. We are not allowed to open the bags.

The last 4 times in a row I have ordered in the evening between 5-7 p.m. in the past 3 months there is either something(s) missing entirely or something was not made the way it was ordered. I would not recommend ordering on the mobile app for drive thru pickup. It would be best to go inside to pick up an order for dine in so that it is easy to catch them on their mistakes. I recommend making sure your order is right before leaving, every time.

I just went through the drive thru for some lunch. The gentlemen that took our order and handed us our food was very kind, welcoming, fast, and efficient. I didn’t catch his name though, unfortunately. The service was incredibly fast and the food was very fresh and tasted excellent! Thank you so much, we appreciate you!

This place was totally incredible. The staff was so kind and so efficient that I was amazed. I was attending a camping wedding, and Sioux Falls was the nearest town with options to feed a tonne of hungover people early in the morning.

I ordered over $100 worth of breakfast tacos and coffees and such, expecting much of it to not end up being made, or for this order to take an exceptionally long time.

This was my first time ever at a Taco John’s, and I was shocked at the service in both speed and quality. The staff didn’t seem rude or upset at my ridiculous order, helped me to the car, and GOT EVERYTHING RIGHT.

Things were even clearly labeled as no meat, spicy, etc.

This place has awesome people working, and I hope they get to make some money in tips because they majorly deserve it!

My dad and I were running errands and came through the drive thru at about 10:19ish, I did not expect to get a gourmet breakfast burrito, but we had asked for them to be grilled at the drive thru speaker and then at the window, it windy today and we didn’t know if they had heard or not, we paid and got our burritos and were on our way when I reached in to take one out, it did not feel like a grilled breakfast burrito, I didn’t care that it wasn’t in the little grilled bags, I just wanted a good ish grilled burrito, and I got a soft burrito with grill marks on it, and when I went in to the shop inform them that they were not grilled, I got an exalted and done attitude from the associate that worked there. All I wanted was a grilled breakfast burrito and I got some soft burritos and a bit of attitude.

They always have good food. Our family got a variety of food from the tacos, burrito, quesadila, to the potato oles! We always look for one since they closed the one where we live!

I’m a sucker for tacos, and Taco John’s does it right. Their shells are soft, but not pasty. The food sits just right in your stomach, not too heavy. Delicious.

The staff at this in have been fairly consistently professional, considering it’s a fast food joint.

I’m glad they’ve had enough staff now to be open inside on Sundays, it was a big deterrent during peak COVID to know only the packed drive thru was available. (I’ve not seen it that busy myself since) Speed I think is good, with just recently a quiet day yielding a Super Taco combo within 3 minutes.

The interior is functional, never seen it packed full, and sometimes a bit unkempt. (but if I’m going to choose between minding an occasional stray lettuce or the mentioned drive thru, I’ll take care of myself) (their drive thru isn’t bad though, I just don’t want to eat in my car)

Food quality is I guess what you’d get from other Taco John’s, being average Mexican-USA’n food. (but those potato oles can disappear like popcorn, very enjoyable) I don’t recommend keeping their food very long to eat later though, because besides the potato oles their deliciousness fades fast.

Overall, I miss the red color scheme, but still like eating here on occasion. Just please let me come inside.

We stopped going to a few Taco John’s in Sioux Falls because the quality and service were so bad. We were just passing through Brookings and decided to take a chance. The service was friendly and efficient and the food was super fresh and delicious. We were pleasantly surprised at the difference.
