Taco John’s and I had our first and definitely last encounter today. I ordered the combo with a taco, a burrito, tater tots, and a soda. The tater tots were the only thing that showed up ready to do their job. Everything else? Dry, skimpy, and downright sad.
And for the record, the meal looked **nothing** like the picture in the ad. Not even close. If the ad is the glamour shot, what I got was the “just rolled out of bed and gave up” version.
For the price, I’m not expecting a five‑star dining experience, but I’m certainly not expecting food that tastes gross or looks like it lost a fight on the way to the tray.
Tater tots: the lone hero.
The rest: never again.

Ok, so this is a fast-food place, but you can’t beat Taco Tuesday. My daughter and I dropped by today and enjoyed both hard and softshell tacos today. They were quite good and the service at this location is excellent. The atmosphere is also very nice and the restaurant always seems very clean. As far as Mexican fast food, Taco John’s does a great job when
you need a quick Mexican fix.

Jane and her coworker had me through the drive thru fast and they were thorough!
I have seen people complaining about the automation coming in, but honestly my order was right and my crispy tacos were loaded with love.
Good staff is hard to come by but it seems like this crew is some of the good ones! Good experience today. Would totally go back.

I have been eating at Taco John’s since the 90s, and I absolutely love the tacos and potato oles. Fargo closed all of the TJs for a long time, and they came back! I am so exited they are back, I know me and many others sure missed them, way better than Taco Bell!

Extremely slow and rude service. Was told “we didn’t make iced tea today”. Another customer ordered no sour cream. Then waited for his item to be remade only to be told “it comes that way” and was told “too bad I’m the manager”.

I apologize for coming back here and forgetting how SKIMPY this place is. But i pulled in forgetting how much i felt ripped off the last time only to get this burrito that basically could of past for a plain tortilla rolled up. There was hardly anything in it.

It was horrible. I guess I was there as they opened. The bun for the taco burger was so hard. Like it was put in the microwave for a while. I couldn’t bit through it. Sadly something I was looking forward too ended up in the trash.

Thank goodness Taco John’s came to Eagan. Luv their food & that it tastes like ingredients! They just opened and TONS of people going…prepare to wait…worth it! Got meat & potato burritos, bean burritos w-lettuce & churros. The churros were so yummy & sugaryyyy! Potato ole’s are the best!!
