Mabye dont leave a bunch of 15 year old kids unattended to run your resturant not only did they not even know what was on your menu what i did get was so burnt I could barley take a bite it was uneatable churros with 0 cinnamon sugar on it paid 8.00 for 4 glorified pretzel sticks churros are the only reason people go to Taco John’s they should be perfect every time.

Summary: good service, bad food.
Workers were friendly and got the order exactly right. Scrambler breakfast burrito was terrible, with large chunks of poorly cut up jalapeños, Potato Oles were even worse, some being super hard and crunchy and the others being flavorless. The chorizo burrito was pretty good though.

It’s Taco John’s… There’s not much more to say.
The food is standard for Taco John’s. Some items on the menu are trash but I still eat it. Other items are really good.
I feel the pricing however is way higher than it should be.
I will say, the fried chicken taco was… Not worth trying.

As to my visit, I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Patient in explaining their TACO TUESDAY DEAL to a new customer. At .89 each, the tacos were spicy and tasty. Tacos were really good and better than the other taco place. Chips and nacho cheese sauce was good too. Liked the salsa bar. Will go back. The food was good, the staff was friendly, the place was clean. I loved the cleanliness and the friendliness of the place.

Been to this Taco John’s around 15 times and they have never messed up our order. Very fast and easy to work with for custom orders like adding onions, etc. Great value for the money, this is one of the best TJ in the Metro in my opinion. And I’m sorry but I have to say to prior reviewer if you want breakfast get your ass out of bed and get there before 11am they have to totally change their menu over dumb ass!

Update. Continuing great service. Some nice mex n match options that taste great at a good value. Nice store. Fast service. Food is always made fresh. Just had a Taco BLITZ. I hope I win the Iowa Hawkeye tickets! Love the specials given out on their app.

The food is consistently good. Orders come up correct. I have never had to wait long to order even though the dining area will fill up. Tables are kept clean. No complaints here.

Entirely overpriced, compared to an actual Mexican restaurant and our local authentic Mexican restaurant is faster in service and wayyy more for your money spend 20 on one person here on garbage Mexican or spend 10 for way more and way more quality?? Either step up or stop price gouging people…
