Did not like the food wanted pazole they only offer it on the weekend I wanted the champurrado they advertised on the table but was told they don’t have it ordered the chicken tortilla soup tasted like it was burnt the rice and beans look like they have been sitting under the salamander for a while server was unempathetic. Personally I won’t be back but the establishment is nice and clean from what I saw

Ordered the fajitas with chicken. Food arrived hot and prepared well. Servers were quick to point out all plates were hot and placed a small amount of aloe Vera in the event we touched a plate. Atmosphere was good. I would rate this as 2 thumbs up.

We have been coming to Taco Joe’s Mexican Food for well over 50 years, and it has always been a wonderful experience—but today was truly something special. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday, and from start to finish, everything was above and beyond.
The Queen Size Deluxe Burrito—a longtime favorite—never disappoints. It’s always packed with flavor, generous in size, and cooked to perfection. But today I noticed something new on the menu: quesabirria tacos. Wow! If you are a fan of birria, you must try them. These tacos are out-of-this-world delicious—crispy, cheesy, and filled with juicy, flavorful meat. They’re a new favorite for sure!
Cuca, the owner, is absolutely fabulous. She’s always there with a warm smile and goes out of her way to make sure everyone leaves happy and full. Her pride in the restaurant shows in every dish and detail.
Mary, our server today, was phenomenal. Attentive, kind, and truly went the extra mile to make our celebration special.
Taco Joe’s isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a family tradition, a place full of heart, and a shining example of what great food and genuine hospitality look like. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

I have great memories in this place. Every time I walk in it reminds me of my Grandma’s kitchen. It is totally old school and I love it! I always get great service here and the chips and salsa are addicting. I usually order a combination plate with taco, enchilada, and tamale. They have a pretty big menu and everything is great! My favorite is the cheese enchilada.

If I could give customer service no stars I would. My question to the host who couldn’t comprehend what I was saying she turned into an argument with me.
I paid a couple bucks shy from 70 just to be served an argument being she felt she needed to be “right” instead of just answering the simple question on the sauce for the wet burritos.
We used to love coming here but we will no longer will be coming back. The attitude and service from the female workers alone was exhausting
Burrito is wrong and dry has no rice no pico nothing just cheese and meat …. And the other burrito had about 2lbs of beans and a scrap of meat … definitely not worth 70.00

It is a highly recommended Mexican-American flavor. We have been coming for almost 9 years and their supreme chilaquiles do not stop having that delicious flavor. Or their pozole. Or their breakfasts. I’m already hungry.

My husband & I wanted to find a new place try out for lunch, nothing fancy just good food. We went a little out of our way, but decided to try it anyway. Unfortunately, we were a little disappointed. On a positive note, the service was very good & helpful. The chips & salsa were good. My husband ordered 2 chicken enchiladas with rice & beans & a shredded beef taco on the side. He said everything was good, but would’ve preferred a soft tortilla for the taco. I on the other hand had 2 carnitas tacos & 1 shredded beef taco. I like the beef taco, & the hard shell was good to me. However, the carnitas were waaaaay to salty. I ate all of the first one because I was hungry, but couldn’t even get half way through the second one because of the saltiness. I must say one of the main reasons I wanted to go there was for the fried ice cream. That honestly was the best part. The cashier made up for my disappointment for the carnitas tacos because when she asked how everything was & I mentioned the saltiness of the carnitas & she took them off the bill right away. I truly wasn’t expecting that, but I was very appreciative that she did. I may not come back for the carnitas, but I definitely would for the fried ice cream & the good customer service.

I sure do miss taco, Joe’s. I live in Tennessee now. So every chance I get when I come to California, I’m eating me some taco Joes, but they’re more than welcome to come to Tennessee. We would welcome them with open arms. They are the best i had the king size burrito and a shredded beef taco, but I got more of the king size burrito to take home more than half.
