A small town joint with a city feel. Had the chicken and chorizo burrito and its enough food for 2 meals. Such good flavors and not too heavy on the cilantro. Great food with reasonably great prices! Can’t wait to go back and try the pizza birria and the street corn!

For being in Richmond, MO, a small town, this place was great! Went with son, DIL and the grandkids. It was more expensive than we’d imagined but the servings were very generous. My husband and I made 2 more meals out of our leftovers. The woman who waits on you is very pleasant and helpful.

Taco Jalisco: A Delicious and Fun Mexican Restaurant in Richmond
I am so excited to have Taco Jalisco in our community! This was a delicious meal full of bright and balanced flavors, and a wonderful dining experience. I highly recommend others give this restaurant a try.
To come up with my star ratings, I look at each aspect of a restaurant that I find to be important: Food, Cleanliness, Ambiance, and Staff. I feel this helps standardize comparisons between restaurants.
Food ⭐️⭐️
Definitely 2/2 stars for food here! Since this was our first visit, we tried both a burrito and a taco, with an appetizer of chips and salsa.
Our tacos came out first, along with our chips and a delicious salsa. Both the corn and flour tortilla tacos were a hit. We opted for chicken tacos and the meat was cooked to perfection and seasoned well without being overpowering. This let the fresh cilantro and sliced onions shine through for a balanced flavor profile. The tortillas on both tacos held together without crumbling. The green sauce they serve on the side with the tacos is delicious and we ended up using it for extra dip for chips.
We both got the shrimp burritos because they sounded really good with a combination of grilled shrimp, fajita veggies, rice, and queso blanco. I counted a dozen shrimp in my burrito so I definitely feel like they were a good value. The flavors in the burrito were also well balanced (the cheese sauce was not overpowering) and the lime wedge that comes with it helped the flavors really pop.
I did feel like the tacos had a bit bolder flavor, so if you like a more mild taste the burritos may be preferred for some.
I look forward to trying the other items on the menu and seeing how they all taste!
The prices are higher than you will see at fast food chains, and some may complain about this. However I feel their prices are comparable to other restaurants of similar quality in the KC metro region.
Cleanliness ⭐️
1/1 Stars. This place is brand new so it is very clean and cared for. It looked like the staff made it a priority to clean tables as people left. I hope it continues to stay this nice because it’s very pretty inside.
Ambiance ⭐️
1/1 Stars. The makeover of the building turned out amazing! The inside is modern and sleek, with colorful paintings and decorations that create a festive atmosphere. Tables were arranged well to easily move around and the utensils, trash, and drink areas were all easy to access. The music playing was fun and modern, with a volume that allowed for easy conversation at the table.
Staff ⭐️
1/1 Stars. From the very beginning of walking into the restaurant we had a friendly greeting and great service. We were checked on several times during our visit and the staff were all super kind. They made us feel welcome and appreciated.

This is a top notch taco establishment. They’re definitely not on the cheap end when it comes to Mexican food but you won’t be disappointed on taste, portions, or presentation. We hit this joint a couple of times a week.

Restaurant is very clean and inviting. Food is fresh and made to order. Fresh ingredients. Portions are large and are priced accordingly. The burritos are extremely large! The kids bowls are also large and well prices at $6.99 and most add ons -such as sour cream, do not cost extra. I can get 2 meals out of one kids bowl. Very good food, service, and atmosphere.
