Food is sub par. The tostada had no flavor and taco meat has weird taste. The cheese for the chips was not hot, just warm. We will not eat here again. It looked good but that’s about it.

I’ve been coming here for many years. Since Covid and the new ownership, the taste has gone way down hill. I give it chance after chance hoping it will get better, and each time it gets worse. Last time, the beans were the absolute worst beans I’ve ever had. Old, dry, crunchy and bland. The mild sauce is the best part, hopefully it doesn’t change. Very sad as this place was always my go to.

Love this place. Just like the one from great bend. I stop whenever I have time when I travel back home.
Price is great. Food is good. Service is wonderful. Worth a stop just know its American Mexican food not authentic style.

I have been going to Taco Hut for over 40 years and I was sad when the original owners decided to sell the place. I thought that they were not going to change the original food but the last three times I have been there I end up throwing out at least half of my food. The meat and cheese nachos were so greasy that the chips were soggy. The meat was NOT the same as it used to be at all. This used to be a favorite of mine but not no more!! The Tostada that I got the other day also went in the trash. It was nasty grease and the meat was horrible. I said something to an employee that it really did stink and he agreed. Taco Hut please do better with the food!! Get the original recipes and use them, and drain that grease off the beef. Plus get some flavor in that food. You might end up like Taco John’s!!

The food is ok. Honestly I was expecting more because so many of the great reviews but I feel like the food is a little bland. The salsa is sweet and tasted a little fruity to me. It was ok. I got a taco dinner and I thought the beans were good and also the tacos were fine. We ordered chips and cheese and the cheese tasted exactly like what you’d get at a concession stand at a sporting event when you order nachos. We also tried the corn salsa which I thought was pretty good. There were 4 of us, we spent about $25 or so, including drinks. There are several other Mexican restaurants in town so I’d have a tough time returning here knowing that there are other options. On a different note, I thought the bathrooms were clean which is always good. We also sat towards the back because the main room was full so it was nice and quiet for us.

We arrived at the Kansas State fair just in time for a huge thunderstorm so we popped into taco head to have a bite to eat since we hadn’t had breakfast or lunch yet. I used to eat there in college so I kind of wanted to check and see if it was still as good. It was OK. We vote were hungry and it filled us up, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat there again. Not the same food quality I remembered, but then I was a 19-year-old college student so what did I know back then? The help was nice. We were in out of the rain. And we filled our tummies while we waited for the rain to end. We were happy to find a place so quickly and easily during such a gully washer.

First let me say that Taco Hut has a place in my heart as it was part of my growing up years. Three of my Aunt’s at one time or another operated Taco Huts in NE Oklahoma. About today’s visit … the food was good and prepared as you watch. The portions were generous. My husband had a chili burrito and I had the Mexican dinner. Both were good. I can tell they shred the cheese there and don’t use preshredded cheese (this is a plus in my book). The lettuce and tomatoes were also fresh. I highly recommend this Taco Hut for grabbing a quick bite.

My wife and her family absolutely love Taco Hut. Every time they are in town they order the nachos and a sancho, and really like it.
I don’t care for it too much. The food is pretty bland, there isn’t much seasoning in any of the dishes. The hot sauce is pretty good, though.
I was going to give Taco Hut 3 stars, but my wife saw my rating and said it needed to be higher. The food isn’t bad, but is is very bland and plain.
