An average restaurant serving food that is far too overpriced.

Tacos are 3.25 each and are about the size of the palm of your hand. That’s unacceptable. Additionally fountain drinks at 4.50 is absurd. Please see receipt for reference. The torta we had was… okay. As was the “flaming hot” burrito. However, Bakersfield is a Mexican food haven and there are at least 4-5 restaurants serving this food at a far superior price point within 5 miles.

For a frame of reference, I had to give 3 tacos to a pair of young children as the two I originally purchased was insufficient (they were still hungry).

This is the slowest Mexican food spot I got my food at. It took me 40 minutes to get my pollo quesadilla. One guy hustling making food and everybody else around him just pretend to look busy.
I was hoping the food will at least taste good but given was unseasoned and the Guac sauce they give on the side is crazy over salted. Very disappointed. Might as well go to Taco Bell next door.

Food was fresh! Hand made tortillas. Tried all of the tacos for Taco Tuesday $1.50 each.

Chicken, asada, pastor and Chorizo, cabeza (steamed pork). You have to put the onions and cilantro on yourself but, I think they did this because some don’t like them garnished already.

I was full but, had to try the fish taco and it was huge! Very good batter and well garnished. Good portions and the salsa are made there and packaged there I was told.

Gotta come back to try breakfast and a burrito. Next time!

We came here on a whim while charging our car. The food was fresh and really good. We tried the veggie breakfast burritos. Good value for money. The service was great! We were even offered complementary fresh tortilla chips with a topping. The location was also very clean. Highly recommended.

They are penny pinching while charging a premium price for poor service and quality of food.

What stood out:
– Frozen meat from a sandwich zip-lock bag
– Overpriced drinks
– Disposable containers with a 1/4 lemon wedge
– Prepackaged/factory salsa
– Unfriendly service from cashier… The cook did try to give welcoming service.

I heard about this place from a friend who said it was a good spot for tacos. I ordered 3 tacos at $3.25 each and $4.50 for a fountain drink with no refills. When I walked in, I noticed the whole building was smoky, like they didn’t want to use their kitchen exhaust.

The cashier hesitated to hand me my drink. When I asked for my fountain drink she seemed bothered and told me she would give it to me in a bit. I waited while she did other things until she finally gave it to me with a frown on her face.

While I was waiting for my food, I realized they were calling out numbers and that’s when I noticed I never got my receipt. I also saw the cook pulling out frozen meat from a sandwich zip-lock bag. That was disappointing, especially at these prices (Rosedale HWY).

When I got my tacos, they had about half an ounce of meat on them. I spent 30 minutes of my lunch break here and left with my stomach feeling empty. Kind of like when my aunt feeds me her old leftovers.

I saw the business from passing by on Rosedale. I turned around and stopped in. It was Taco Tuesday and I ordered a couple. The staff was friendly but it took awhile to get the food which was surprising since the place had few customers. The tacos were very small (smallest street tacos I have seen). Only 2 bites and gone! And disappointing in flavor. I checked reviews on FB and found posted Taco Tuesday’s taco were $1:00 two months – they are now $1.70. Seems a rather sharp increase in such a brief time. I was hoping for a place to make a regular but won’t be back.

Geez I wanted to leave a good review it was my first time trying this place,I ordered a couple tacos, carne asada burrito I must say they were very bland meat was unseasoned,no flavor. I got refried beans they were very watery and very few beans the rice that came with my order was flavorless as well. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and try this place one more time hopefully things will have improved.

I purchased tacos only so this rating is solely based on tacos. Carne Asada was good. Al Pastor was excellent. Both meats were fresh. Cilantro, onion and salsa are available to put on yourself. The staff were very friendly. My only disappointment was the size of the tacos. Tasty but pretty small and not very much meat for the price ($3.25 each). Trying to be fair because food is so expensive these days however 3 tacos seemed more like a snack than lunch. Will go on Taco Tuesday next time when tacos are $1.50 each.
