This is a great place to go for great tasting, American Tex-Mex, but wow, the flavor is really good. I thoroughly enjoy Taco House while visiting Okoboji. I think that I’ve ordered food here about two or three times and have yet to be disappointed. You should give this place a try for some great-tasting comfort food.

Overall good food! Very little to criticize. The atmosphere and venue was awesome! There was quite a line for ordering food. I think they could benefit from a digital ordering system…perhaps a mobile app.
The bathrooms were not the cleanest although they seemed short staffed and busy.
The chili needed some seasoning but was very hearty. The beef enchiladas were great! The rice was a little dry, but still flavorful.
I would definitely try it again in the future. It was fun for the whole family!

This place is 1980s nostalgia for me. I’m glad I made it up one more time before it closed for the season. Had to get some nachos and burrito to go, as well as a 32 oz red hot sauce to take home and freeze for to use over the winter. Can’t wait to come up again next summer!

Cold food that has been setting in the steam table all day. I tried going again and spent $32. I came home right away, the food was not warm. No prices on menu, I have very bad eye sight and can not see the menu board. The person taking food order was not very pleasant. The atmosphere when ordering..dont ask questions there are a ton of people behind you.

At first, I was a bit skeptical. We waited in line for a bit, ordered and then looked for a table. All the tables were dirty so we moved outside. After waiting half an hour, we got our food and was surprised to see that the chips were just taco shells that you have to break up. They were stale and the guacamole did not taste very good. Overall the chips were pretty weak. The tacos actually ended up tasting good, but not very good for the price. In conclusion, the only good part about this place are the tacos.

You know 8 years ago this place was amazing they had the best tacos. I don’t know what happened whether they changed owners or changed recipes but it doesn’t taste half as good as it use too. It tastes decent but not nearly as good as it did 8 years ago.

Taco House has a reputation of having good food, but being slow! To be honest the 20 person line went slow, but the food was out within 10 minutes afterwards. The food was tasty! There taco salad, tacos, and burritos are excellent. If you have sause it can be hot, be prepared. They also have ice cream and drinks!

Stopped in for lunch on a Friday. Taco House was busy and had their outdoor and covered area open. We ordered two hard shell and two soft shell tacos. We added a side of guacamole and chips. The tacos were fairly good. Meat was lightly spiced and various sauces of different heat were available. The guacamole however needed some spices. We didn’t detect and salt, lime juice, cilantro or and other spice in the mix. Just avocado, onions, tomatoes and some jalapeno. We plan to go back and try other items on the menu.

Taco house nachos, soft shell tacos, fountain coke and of course the hot sauce are staples in the Okoboji area. Overall good food. It usually is crazy busy with long wait times during peak season but the option to call in orders does help.

Food was bad, order was wrong (not surprised, a child was taking my order). The whole experience was bad and this was our second time coming. Tried to give it a chance and it still sucked. BTW their footlong is just two gray looking hot dogs put together in one long bun.
