I enjoyed my time at Taco Frida! Yummy food, although the portions are smaller. But the prices are cheaper so it’s justifiable to order two tacos. I ordered the chicken tinga taco, grapefruit nojito (mocktail) and chips and salsa. Overall great atmosphere and experience! Wonderful addition to BR

So good, the Staff was very friendly and fast. The food amazing, I had the birria taco… One of the best tacos I’ve had, very filling as well. The atmosphere is very chill, decorations are so cute, I love the plants on the lights and the mural. Will be coming back!

It was a great experience! I loved the vibe in the restaurant and the staff was amazing.
The food was so delicious and flavorful. You can buy tacos by the single so its easy to mix and match what you want.

Overall a great experience!

The restaurant is nice and clean.

The menu is very small. The food is bland and the meat is mushy. The cilantro was not fresh, it was wilted & gross. The chips & salsa are just the cheap store bought type & you get a super small ramekin of salsa with basically chunk tomato for a decent sized basket of bland chips. Nachos are big but they skimp on the toppings.

Our waitress was nice & she did her job.

You should know something is wrong when you go 2 restaurants over and there is at least a half hour wait and your restaurant is empty. My suggestion is to switch to American food, put some sports on the television, American music on the radio, and you would be able to add another row of tables and fill them. Mexican food is not your calling.

Sincerely,

Someone who loves real Mexican food

I’ve been here three times so far and I’ve left happy every time! Great cocktails in super pretty cups, the tacos are street size but super flavorful, and the staff are super cool

Delicious! The Barbacoa and chicken were tender and flavorful! Dan makes the best sangria and margaritas! Olivia was our lovely server who helped navigate between our non-spicy and ❤️spicy appetites! We shared with family and DEFINITELY be back!!

First time in last night for dinner. My husband and myself. Cant say enough about the wonderful staff. So friendly and polite. Bar tender Kaitlyn and server jacob were fabulous.
Now let’s talk about wait time. And mind you, we know the blue cow shares a kitchen with taco Frida’s. And we knew they had a large party to accommodate in blue cow, BUT, to wait 1 hour and 10 min for 4 tacos is crazy sad. There should be a seperate station or one seperate kitchen staff to push out the simple menu items for the Taco Frieda side. No excuse to wait that long for 4 tacos. If we were not enjoying conversation with the staff I’m not sure we would have stayed and waited. Please make the margaritas stronger.
Also, please have an option for room temp salsa. The warmed up salsa really turned me off. Tasted like warm tomato sauce with no flavor. My husband and I will stop in places just for a drink and good salsa and chips. We won’t be stopping in here for that.
I wish you well on the new opening, but in my opinion if the food continues to take that long you may not have return customers. We will probably not be back. From reading other reviews it wasn’t just because there was a large party at the blue cow last night. Seems others have same issues with wait times
Good luck and we wish you much success

Frida Taco was amazing! We had Katelyn as our server and/bartender and she was incredibly attentive and kind.

For drinks, I had a Key Lime Cocktail that was truly amazing, very sweet (just how I like it) and overall well balanced. Also, the Zenberry Cider Boys cider was also very tasty, it’s nice that they have multiple on tap cider options available.

For food, I got the all you can eat salsa and let me tell you, it was incredible. Served warm, it was very flavorful with just the right amount of heat and Katelyn offered many refills on both the chips and salsa. I also got the blackened shrimp taco- the flavors of this melded together perfectly, and I would recommend adding a little lime juice that is served with the taco to really complete the taste profile. The taco was in a small shell, but well priced. Also, it was filled to the brim with ingredients, so they certainly weren’t skimping on a very cheap taco!

The atmosphere is incredibly cute and cozy! There is a mural wall with a perfect spot for pictures (thanks Katelyn again!). Beyond that, the succulent accents on the hanging lights really add dimension and brighten the atmosphere.

Overall, I really recommend that anyone and everyone should be heading the Frida Taco and make it your regular dining spot in Big Rapids/ Paris area! I did look at the reviews, and they are really misleading. Most negative reviews are from the first few opening days, and it is obvious that they have worked hard to address each and every one that was presented. They are truly an amazing restaurant, and could be a great environment for just a girls night out for drinks.

This was our first time there, it’s super cute inside, feels like a restaurant in GR. Jacob our server was so sweet and accommodating! If you haven’t been you should check it out 🙂 we moved to Big Rapids from the GR area and this feels like downtown
