When time is tight and you just want something quick, Taco Express #2 at 1730 West Texas St in Fairfield seems like the perfect stop. I pulled into the drive-thru expecting a fast, fresh meal, but it quickly turned into a letdown.
The wait wasn’t terrible, but the food that came out was lukewarm at best and definitely not “made fresh” like their brand promise claims. It felt like it had been sitting under the heat lamps for a while. Honestly, I would’ve been better off parking and ordering at the counter inside.
For a place that markets speed and freshness, this visit fell short on both. I’ll probably give them another shot someday, but next time I’m skipping the drive-thru.
Would I recommend? Only if you’re in a huge rush and don’t mind rolling the dice on temperature and freshness. 3.5/5 stars.

So it’s all about Taco Tuesday. Shredded Beef Ground Beef and Shredded Chicken… I’d say the chicken is the most fire. Super soft and flavorful. They have the chip and salsa bar too. Dont forget to get a nice drink as well. I really enjoyed myself at Taco Express

Fries were not even cooked. They were practically raw. On top of that they barely filled the container.They ask what kind of sauce I always say green. Every single time they give me red and green. They’re wasting their own product. What the point in asking if you don’t actually plan on giving the right sauce? I go here all the time not anymore.

Overall, the burrito is ok. But if I’m paying over $14 in Fairfield for one, I would expect a SUPER burrito to have more than a DROP of guacamole and sour cream and LESS ONIONS in every single bite! I drove through, the drive thru so I don’t know what the atmosphere inside is like.

For what I ordered. The food was pretty good and a nice portion. This location is now only open from Monday-Saturday . They do have a drive thru as well as accept Apple Pay. If you already know their menu and what you want, then the line seems to move along pretty quick. Bit during lunch is always busy.

They used to be good. They just raised all their prices by $1.50. I usually order the Shredded Chicken Burrito $7.50 now $8.99 (see pics) they just charged me $10.50 and said there is nothing they can do because the menus were printed wrong and it’s not in their computer. So you are saying you raised the price by $3.00 on that one item??? Naw. You did me wrong. AND YOU MISSED AN ORDERED ITEM AND EXPECTED ME TO DRIVE ALL THE WAY BACK WITH ALL MY FOOD TO PROVE IT AFTER YOU MESSED UP!

First time and went through drive thru. The food was okay. I ordered their super burrito & two carne asada street tacos. Overall, I think it needed more flavor. It was pretty bland & the burrito barely had meat in it. Their salsa is runny and again, bland. I paid about $21 for those three items. 3 stars.

This place is very underrated. My family and I LOVE going here. We come from Vallejo just to eat here. It never disappoints! Some of the reviews I think are wrong since some people prefer fake Mexican food vs AUTHENTIC Mexican food. Their asada is bomb! I recommend also trying their express burrito it always GREAT!
Their salsas are also very delicious. We love coming here and recommend you try it, just wish they were closer.
