I have been going here for probably 7 years now. The food is always consistent with an occasional mishap. The Rolled Tacos are always crunchy and delicious, the Crunchy Ground Beef Tacos are filled to the top and flavorful, the (red) Crunchy Chicken Tacos are good, the Carne Asada Fries are always fresh and their Pollo Asado is some of the best in the city. The Breakfast Burritos are made with real potatoes and not french fries. The Red and Green Salsas are both flavorful. However, their enchiladas are a pass for me. They are boring canned red enchilada sauce with not much unique flavor.
They are always very generous with the guacamole and cheese as you can see in my photos.
My family loves this location and it is always a “yes” when it is recommended when we are in the area (usually at Costco). The staff have always been very kind. The decor is pretty simple and it is always moderately clean.
I will continue to recommend this location.

So, we go through the drive through quite often. Taco Express is one of the few dining experiences we have that never disappoints us. The carnitas is on point, the best chips in town, the salsa’s are good. The chicken w/tomato sauce is awesome, the burritos are good sized, and the gentlemen we see in the drive thru are always friendly. The kids are always happy with whatever they order.The only thing I miss is the salsa bar on the inside, I havent dined inside in a while, but I think it may be gone now.

New to me restaurant, so had to stop in for the carne asada fries, i added some beans to them for that extra flavor as always do.
The restaurant was very clean and restrooms as well, Jesus helped me out with my order, and the man was extremely friendly. Our food was made quickly and had a beautiful presentation along with great fresh taste and delicious horchata with 50c refills!
Overall, I definitely recommend giving them a try, You will be sure to find something you like with the variety in the menu. I will be back for cowboy fries and nachos, at least.

I ordered A breakfast burrito and carne asada fries. The fries had barely any toppings with mainly fries and fries were very soggy and tasted old. The breakfast burrito had spot that looked like it had mold somehow and the eggs tasted rotten. Horrible food when it is usually good. I’ve been going here for 5 years and never had this issue before

Ordered through DoorDash. I didnt get get what i ordered. I wanted a chicken enchilada and i only got cheese. Its drowning in sauce and cheese the Styrofoam box is soggy. I had to leave the box in the bag to eat the food. What is the point of staying open so late if you guys dont care enough to get the order right.

Great affordable Mexican food for the whole family. Restaurant is nice and clean, services quick in the drive-through goes very quickly as well.The food is served and generous portions, with Carna Asada fries been my favorite. This place is typically ine of the best Mexican restaurants in Colorado Springs but if I’m sharing the positive I also have to share the negative. I ordered the #11 Carnitas Plate and 3 Carnitas Tacos. What I received was dry recooked Pork that was soo hard my first taco bite felt like I was eating a bone. I took it back and they immediately made my order over with fresh delicious tender pork Thry are getting 3 stars for me having to come back but ill eat here again and you should too
