Probably the best tasting tacos I ever had in my life. I wish there would be a spot to eat it fresh on location other than having to eat on a bench without a table. This place is a gem that could use a few upgrades to make it a solid 5 stars all across. We ate there more than once and eating it at home doesn’t have the same taste from the heat steaming the tortillas on the drive home vs eating on location (crispy torts and absolute best tacos + meat consumé)

I wanted queso. But I wanted the goodies from a burrito but I wanted chips. Enter nachos! I added the queso and rice. I got birria, I think. It was bussin!! So so good. Thanks Taco Express!
P.S. there was enough for 2 people but that’s up to you, if you want to share.

This taco truck is the best!!! We stayed in hurricane hole and came here on the first night and got chicken quesadillas (they were phenomenal). Delicious and big portions and reasonably priced. It was so good we came back the next morning and got breakfast to go. I had the Mexican omlette, and my husband had a sausage, egg, & cheese sandwich. And again, the food was delicious, with large portions and for a good price. Definitely check this place out if you’re passing through the keys.

Food truck food is some of the best hidden gem eats of the Keys. Taco Express is solid. We ordered the chicken tacos and I had the fish tacos. Fresh, generous portion and tasty. All that one could ask for. At lunch time it does take 15-20 min when there is a lineup so keep patient. Washing it down with a watermelon juice is perfect on a hot Florida July day!

Best food we have had in Key West! I got the shrimp quesadilla, and the shrimp was perfectly cooked and the whole thing so flavorful. The people I went with also had the best food — everything was perfect! Oh, and highly recommend both the horchata and the hibiscus drink.

I mean, it’s a food truck, (semi-permanent) so atmosphere is just a small, but cute patio with some bench seating to wait. It’s clean and well executed, and this truck is busy! Many locals and workers picking up phone orders so it’s a local fave. Food was great and plenty of it, local house-made juices were delicious. Highly recommended.

The food is pretty good and seems very fresh, portions are quite big especially for the very reasonable prices. However there are times it is not as good seemingly the end of the batch, not as fresh, somewhat cold and thrown together. That being said I have obviously eaten there many times because it is usually very good, big portions and decent prices. The tacos are a pretty good choice especially the El Pastor, Mexican style. I do not care for the Tortas found them dry and skimpy on the meat. The pork chop plate is good for a food truck. Breakfast and coffee is great and again a decent price. The service is kind of hit or miss particularly if you’re not Spanish, it’s unfortunate but not out of ordinary for Key West or any Spanish run establishment generally if you’re white and they think you don’t understand what they’re saying. Sometimes the service is quick and there are times it takes quite awhile and doesn’t seem to be relevant to the number of people waiting. All of that said I keep returning because it’s usually very delicious, fresh and reasonable prices particularly for the Keys. Wish they were open late night.

Absolutely delicious! There was no seating or nearby parking, but it was worth the walk! The street tacos were juicy and the barria quesadilla was the best I’ve ever had. Very high prices, but overall worth it!

They’re not on Instagram, but the food is fantastic! On Stock Island, just off the Overseas Highway, over the bridge from Key West. Very limited parking.

Great customer service! She recommended the Chorizo Breakfast Wrap and the Birria tacos, so we got both, plus the Horchata and the fresh pineapple juice.

If I were local, I’d eat here at least weekly! Soooooo good. Never had Birria, which is a Mexican stew and it came with a container of au jus, or the Mexican equivalent. It was unbelievably tasty. The meat just melted in my mouth. The juice was fantastic!

Everything was tasty and fresh. Yum! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I order my tacos here sometimes but EVERY time i order them whether it be on the phone or in person, this blonde white woman who attends me always has an attitude and is always the one who attends me. She’s unclear with what she says then gets rude when you can’t read her mind. There was a day where I was speaking spanish to her so that I can grow my second language and she RUDLY cut me off and said “I can’t speak english you don’t have to speak spanish” The food here is super good the cooks do amazing jobs but the service is actually horrific.
